Janet Reno, the first woman to serve as U.S. attorney general and the epicenter of several political storms during the Clinton administration, has died. She was 78.
Reno died early Monday from complications of Parkinson’s disease, her goddaughter Gabrielle D’Alemberte said. D’Alemberte said Reno spent her final days at home in Miami surrounded by family and friends.
Reno, a former Miami prosecutor who famously told reporters “I don’t do spin,” served nearly eight years as attorney general under President Bill Clinton, the longest stint in a century.

I would never dance on this woman’s grave to celebrate her passing, but I’d piss all over it given the opportunity and proximity.

A lot of the uninformed of American really liked her even if they knew nothing about her real life.
I for one do not wish Janet Reno to go to Hell. Christ told us that we should not wish Hell even on our worst enemy, and when he says it, I believe it. In fact, I hope she’s in Heaven.
That said, Waco was a travesty anyway you slice it. I think what bothers me about the reporting on her death is that it will be very one-sided regarding Waco and won’t mention some of the strong evidence shown in the “Rules of Engagement” documentary.
Btw, Eric Holder was *not* assistant AG at the time of Waco. Holder did not enter that position until 1997, several years after Waco. He did have a hand in the Danforth report, however.

She had her chance to come clean on the assault at Waco against some misguided people following DK. She had her chance to expose the Clintons.
