Janet Reno, the first woman to serve as U.S. attorney general and the epicenter of several political storms during the Clinton administration, has died. She was 78.
Reno died early Monday from complications of Parkinson’s disease, her goddaughter Gabrielle D’Alemberte said. D’Alemberte said Reno spent her final days at home in Miami surrounded by family and friends.
Reno, a former Miami prosecutor who famously told reporters “I don’t do spin,” served nearly eight years as attorney general under President Bill Clinton, the longest stint in a century.

Sorry, I should have said: “Nazi AG”.
But there were no real consequences for her. Today's obituaries will hardly mention what happened at Waco, if the topic is even brought up at all.
Btw, it was Eric Holder, deputy AG at the time, who was in control of the DOJ, not Reno.
And I've always suspected it was Hillary who exerted the real power at DOJ, with Reno a mere figurehead (whom Hillary installed), and Eric Holder her tool.
We know that Hillary ordered bombing strikes on innocent civilians in Serbia -- so why should we not suspect her of having ordered the incendiary assault on innocents at Waco?
Heck, there are only about six ‘Reno is dead’ threads. One of those movies about Noah a couple years ago had 50+ threads!
On second thought, maybe 50 threads will be posted about Reno once the nattering nabobs of negativism disappear after the election... Everybody likes to hear the world has become a better place.
