I just received a curious robocall regarding the Missouri governor's race
Robocall | Huntress

Posted on 11/05/2016 4:08:42 PM PDT by Huntress

I just received a really odd robocall. I didn't answer it, but heard the whole thing on the answering machine. It was Obama shilling for Chris Koster, talking about how he would raise the minimum wage, build on Obamacare, and protect Obama's legacy from the Republicans. At the end was the usual line that said it was paid for by some Democrat organization...then there was another statement that it was paid for by supporters of Eric Greitens.

In SW MO, Koster's ads all portray him as a conservative. I heard that he runs different ads in Kansas City and St. Louis that paint him as a liberal. I think Greitens has picked up on this and is using Koster's own ads against him. Very clever.

“It was Obama shilling . . . “

Oh how I would LOVE to get a call from that stinking Muzzie. Even though it would be just a robo-call, and not really him on the phone, I’d give him a blast and tell him what I think of his sorry @$$. It would feel so good.

I’m not surprised. I’ve long thought Koster is a weasel. I was just pointing out that it’s clever of Greitens to use his own robocall against him.

If I can figure out how to get the call off my answering machine, I’d be happy to email it to you. ;-)

For me, the answer to your question is simple:

The Missouri Republican House and Senate both have super-majorities, and have passed many good bills which Democrat Gov. Jay Nixon vetoed. Although Nixon is the most-overridden governor in Missouri history, overriding vetoes is difficult.

With a Republican governor, we would be able to implement many things (right-to-work and tort reform, for example) with the majority vote and the governor's signature. No super-majority would be necessary.

Greitens wasn't my first choice as Republican candidate - but we need to vote for him as our next Missouri Governor on Tuesday, November 8!

I doubt and endorsement from the NRA is “worthless” as you say. There may only be 5 million NRA members, but studies have shown nearly 20 million others support NRA goals. Republicans down to State level always complete NRA questionnaires sent to them just prior to elections. Even those with long standing ties to NRA. If NRA was “worthless” why would they even bother?

How many democrats have you voted for based upon the endorsement by the NRA?

RE:Post #24. Well said! Republicans recently overrode Gov. Nixon's veto of Constitutional Carry. Jan. 1 anyone is allowed to carry, with only a few restrictions. We are now one of 12 States with this Constitutional Carry. Jan. 1, 2017 that is.

Thank you Missouri Republicans. And next year, assuming we have a Republican Governor? Right to Work will pass-finally!

In the past? Several. None in recent years. Why? Because they are anti-RKBA. Check the votes for the just passed Constitutional Carry.
