Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta said it was a major understatement when an important Clinton Foundation figure described Chelsea Clinton as “not smart,” a newly-leaked email reveals.
The 2012 email is from the latest batch of leaked communications put out by the online hacktivist group Wikileaks. In the email, Podesta responds to Doug Band, a former Bill Clinton assistant who helped found the Clinton Global Initiative.
Band was irate because Chelsea had apparently launched an internal investigation of the Clinton Foundation’s finances, and then told one of former President George W. Bush’s twin daughters about it. “I have heard more and more chatter of [Chelsea] and bari talking about lots of what is going on internally to people,” Band complains in the exchange. “Not smart.”
Podesta’s response is brief but leaves his thoughts very clear.
“You are perfecting your skills for understatement,” he says.

My take on this is she is so stupid she did not know the “foundation” was a criminal enterprise. The foundation is basically a cover for the extortion racket. See, you donate to the foundation AND you pay billy or Hitlery directly or through others a “speaking fee” or as honorary directorships or some crap. The foundation pays for their entourage including their attorneys and campaign people. The adolescent crook probably stumbled onto some misapplication of funds by some of the staff and figured her parents were not aware of it or did not care as long as it did not get out of proportion. If anyone got out of proportion, Arkancide took care of it. Anyway, her looking into it would open a can of worms. Recall there was a rapid change of a foundation director a few years ago along with the insiders not happy with the addition of the JV criminal.

Chelsea’s life insurance policy is that she is Hillary’s daughter and because of that is seen by Hillary as her child And to be protected like any piece of property.

Chelsea isn’t that bright—but folks forget she brought in some very bright Stanford classmates.

What Band said was "talking to people about stuff going on internally" was "not smart" -- as in "not a good idea", or "not a good choice".
Chelsea's actions were "not smart". That's a different connotation.
Context is everything. And taking something out of context is what the lamestream media does to Trump. We shouldn't be stooping to that level.
There is plenty of stuff that is unquestionably wrong. We don't need to focus on the innuendo.

I believe that everyone is misreading this email. By saying “not smart”, he was talking about how unwise it might be to look into the finances of the CGI too closely. It wasn’t a comment about intelligence at all, as funny as that might seem.
