She was being paid a salary in excess of 600K a year by the foundation and she still thought it was a legitimate charitable foundation? Really? Really? Yeah, "not smart" is a major understatement.

“You are perfecting your skills for understatement,” he says.
I get the impression that this isn't the IQ version of not smart. It is the "Fredo, you broke my heart" version of not smart. But it sounds like she is fitting into the family business now without having to have a horrible fishing accident.
