Texas Sen. Ted Cruz has officially joined the Donald Trump campaign and has already hit the trail with Gov. Mike Pence in Iowa and Michigan.
After a heated primary season for the Republican Party, Trump and Cruz came out of the Republican National Convention with a less-than-friendly relationship.
"Sen. Cruz will join Gov. Pence in Iowa and Michigan today," Pence's press secretary Marc Lotter told USA TODAY. "Having Sen Cruz join the governor today underscores what he has been saying for the past few weeks and we are seeing happen across the country - it is time for Republicans to come home."

One effect is the myth that Cruz wrote the Constitution and therefore is the only one qualified to interpretate it.
Read the Constitution again, you have it wrong.
The part after the first comma exempted themselves because they knew there could not be any natural born citizens for 35 years.
No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.
McCain was born in the country of Panama. The Senate Resolution specifically cites his TWO citizen parents.
It still did not make him a natural born citizen, it was just a non-binding assertion by the Senate.
Your kids are citizens because you applied for recognition.

He did not have to, which means he was born a natural born citizen due to the fact that his mother is a natural born citizen having been born and raised in Delaware, one of the 13 original states

All children born abroad must apply for recognition the same as you did for your children.

After not receiving one from him for months, I got an eMail this very morning. Great, I’m thinking. He’s finally going to mention support for Trump. Well maybe he’ll surprise me and be contacting everyone to help out.

Guam and the Northern Marianas are US territory.
Bases in foreign countries are not. Ask the Japanese if our bases there are US territory. The answer would be an emphatic NO.
Ted Cruz’s mother may have been a natural born citizen, but she would still need to apply for recognition for her son to be a citizen at all since he was born in Canada.
