Sean Hannity sees his biggest ratings in years amid a wave of Trumpism

Sean Hannity may have become the target for some critics in conservative media circles, but his ratings have rarely been better.

According to October Nielsen Media Group ratings, the longtime Fox News host's show "Hannity" had the largest ratings boost of any Fox News show all month, jumping 65% in total viewers from the previous month.

October was also one of Hannity's best month in years. According to Nilsen, the show's ratings were up 53% this month compared to the October 2013, when the show moved to the generally less-watched 10 p.m. timeslot.

Hannity's program also topped hosts Megyn Kelly and Bill O'Reilly on several evenings during the month, including shows on October 28, October 26, and October 25. In 2013, "Hannity" was bumped from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m., while Kelly took over his old time slot.

Hannity's ratings boost coincides with rising ratings overall for cable news networks as interest in the 2016 election has heated up, but also comes at an interesting moment for the longtime political commentator.

The television and radio host has emerged as one of the most high-profile boosters of Donald Trump, while the real-estate mogul has sparred repeatedly with other hosts at the network including Kelly and even occasionally with O'Reilly.

Hannity played a significant role in beating the drum for Trump, even if it occasionally raised eyebrows and garnered criticism from both sides.

Though Hannity's pro-Trump programming decisions have potentially helped with his ratings boost, some media critics argue that his credibility as a political commentator has been tarnished.-----------HYPOCRITES !

When it’s time to renegotiate his contract I hope he demands his old time slot. Of course, current management probably wants him gone. And where would he go?

He should start his own network, Fox is forever compromised ... O’Reilly has turned into a loon

Varney on Fox Business Channel: Trump surge may put him over the top. Stuart Varney talking about this last week before the election. His interviewee agrees. Also ran a clip of Angry Hillary screeching into the camera at a rally, losing it against a protestor, voice hoarse; her face twisted with hate: ‘Trump is unsuitable to be president; a hateful man; totally unsuitable to be commander-in-chief.’

Hannity and some of the others should get together and buy The Blaze. I imagine it will be going at fire sale prices after Glenn Beck’s meltdown.
Team up with Breitbart, Project Veritas, and Julian Assange

Hannity and Lou Dobbs (Fox Business) are two daily “must see” shows for me. Otherwise, Fox can induce depression. One America News (OAN) Network fulfills other viewing needs.

I turned on O’Reilly last night thinking he’d do a substantive show. As usual, he was playing both sides. Treating “Secretary” clinton like she still had standing.

Last time I saw him was after I fell asleep during Hannity (I was very tired it wasn’t Hannity) and I woke up and O’Reilly was on with Karl Rove explaining how Trump had no path to victory, never again. I only watch Hannity and only if something big’s afoot

Hannity said it himself: He has been extremely fair in that ALL candidates have had open invitations to appear on his show and many of them have. Hannity has given air time to anyone who would come on and answer a few questions.

Aside from Hannity, Jeff Kuhner at WRKO does the best show on radio. He is very informative and educational.

The other show worth hearing is Agenda 21 Radio with Paul Preston. He runs at three different times on three different source and one source, Red State Talk Radio, has him twice. I listen to the repeat sometimes on Red State Talk Radio on a secondary feed they run but it’s at the same time as Kuhner and Rush. Podcasts are hard to find. He has a page but sometimes it is not complete shows and also Paul moved stations as his flagship so that new location no longer houses podcasts. I used to hear him via podcasts or at night on a feed from the station that ran him.

I respect Hannity for standing strong....Almost all else, except for Dobbs, has sold out. Yes, one or two that caved in have come back home, like Levin, but Hannity has stood firm and taken heat for that.

He was always a loon. But like a broken clock would end up being right twice a day.

FNC wants to be like ABC, NBC, CBS, PMSNBC and CNN and are headed hell for leather in to ratings oblivion just like the rest of these liberal turds in the punch bowl.

Someone will recognize the void they are willfully abdicating and fill it and make a ton of money in the process. Way to go Murdoch boys, you become also ran’s in just a couple of years!

Good for him. I know he can be a little tough to listen to for hard core newsies like us, but he has done huge and heroic work all year. Between his radio and TV shows he has a great reach. He’s an affable and clearly decent guy, which I am sure helps him to be an effective ambassador for the cause as well.

I am glad his efforts haven’t not only not hurt but have also helped his ratings.

This is hard to believe, but an old Air America producer (leftist as they come, of course) is now an exec of the biggest network of talk radio stations. Savage has taken some hits from him.

It amazes me that the powers that be at FNC are so dense that they don’t appreciate or seemingly understand what got them their success, and are so willing to throw it away.

They are leaving the door wide open for a new truly conservative cable channel.

I suspect Bannon has something in the works. With his supposed dislike of Clinton/Bush families perhaps he can put something together that is not going to toe the globalist line.

Thus the Dana Perino, George Will types would simply not be welcome. Heck you could even give a slot to an honest liberal wit it’s so hard to find one critical of Hillary. Maybe a Jill Stein or something but honestly I have no idea what they are up to. OMG that smug Chris Stirewalt.... would love to debate him, or whatever. He’s tall but I’d whip him in a game of hoops.

Have defended Hannity here and also turned on him here.

When it came time to stand tall for America, he damn sure did and I salute him.

My biggest beef with him was that he was too easy on liberals and Rinos, he has turned that around significantly.

Go Hannity go!!
