Abedin has been known for years to be Clinton's gatekeeper, and has been revealed in State Department emails as someone constantly consulted on matters relating to Bill Clinton, top donors, close friends, celebrities, who gets face time with the first lady, and paid speeches that pose potential conflicts.

In the mid-90s, I was out with my flight crew in Ybor City and Clinton was in town. This guy had hopped on the hotel bus with us (which made hourly runs to the bar district) and he had multiple cell phones. He was a short, douche-y guy, and he kept trying to impress us by telling us that he worked with the Clinton campaign. He insisted on following us no matter how many cold shoulders we gave him. After walking a short way, we decided on a nightclub to try and he pushed to the front to pay our cover charge. We said thanks, then went directly to the dance floor, which was a mob scene, where we lost him, and continued through to an exit.

We then proceeded down the block to a really cool bar and started the night there...without Clinton's Cell Phone Guy, as we called him.
