That’s why I’m wondering if the Kimdotcom post was a game changer.
We all knew the NSA had Hillary’s emails. There was no way on Earth that they didn’t. Now, more of the world knows, that they know, what we all knew.
I know but evidence usually requires testimony to support it. Someone needs to testify where it came from etc.

From what I have read the filings in the KimDotCom case in New Zealand showed that the NSA has archives of all emails sent, and can search and retrieve based on to/from fields.
They probably can't use them in criminal cases in the USA, but they tried to use them in his case. No reason that Congress can't subpoena them though.

Lets say it was an NYPD detective assigned to investigate Carlos and he comes across this cache of emails. He prints out all emails and then shows those around the station house until someone says we should probably take this to the Feds. By then several people have possibly read potentially SAP type info and the cat is out of the bag. The Feds know they can’t contain this as these folks would surely talk to other people and eventually go to the press.
He is a crazy sex fiend, but he WAS a congressman....he knows how to play the game. Who knows what he could have salted away.
I think the weiner thing is a smokescreen, I’ve been following kim dotcom and also a few others who seem to be connecting the dots... Clinton foundation is a virtual slushfund/clearing house for a huge huge scandal and now it makes so much sense as to why the GOPe and Dems were equally united in the hate (fear) of Trump.
It was supposed to be Jeb and Hillary and things would have gone on as usual. Trump messed it all up.

I totally agree. More is coming and Comey had to stop colluding with the Clintons.
I watched a former FBI Asst. Director on FBN and he thinks the letter sent to Congress was very unusual. He said, "If you're going to investigate, then just investigate. No need for a letter". He thinks there is something really damaging coming out and Comey is trying to get ahead of it.
I tend to believe him.
