Wisconsin Democrats ask U.S. Justice Department to oversee election

Wisconsin Democratic members of congress asked the U.S. Justice Department to oversee Wisconsin's monitoring of the election due to concerns with the new voter ID law, including Representative Ron Kind who was in Eau Claire Thursday.

Kind told News 18 he wanted to send the letter to the U.S. Justice Department because Donald Trump and other Republican leaders are telling people to become poll watchers this election year. Kind said Wisconsin has no voter fraud issues, and he wanted to make sure everyone who can go out and vote has the opportunity to do so.

"We don't want to see harassment at the booth or at the polling station," Kind said. "There has been a history in some areas of the country of that taking place, and now with his call to encourage supporters to get out there and do their own poll monitoring, I think creates a very contentious, and a very intimidating situation."

The letter was also signed by Senator Tammy Baldwin and Representatives Gwen Moore and Mark Pocan.

Voter ID is a red herring for these idiots. I voted early yesterday right here in Dane County and all I had to do was to show my Drivers License to prove my Name and address and got my ballot.

Voted straight Rep as usual.

Was real depressed though when there were no state or local republican candidates listed only for national office. not that they would have a snowballs chance in Hades.

WI Dems commissioned some study by other Dems that concluded there was no vote fraud, so now the meme has been that Republican are using vote fraud as a way to disenfranchise voters.

Never mind the fast that the now exposed and disgraced dirty trickster Scott Foval was based out of Madison and as he loves to brag “That was us”.

I’m not ready to believe “it’s what they do” unless I hear it from somebody (a lot) entrenched in Wisconsin. They have Walker as governor and some very real anti-socialistic support there. I don’t think it’s “just what they do,” frankly.

I worked in Madison, Wisconsin for three years, and lived in Wisconsin for the last year of that before moving to Columbus, Georgia just before 2015. I worked in the bowels of the state DOT. I listened to the local versions of Vicki McKenna, and still do via I-Heart-Radio. She is MUCH better than Charlies Sykes or Mark Belling.

Walker winning hasn't slowed down the termites, and their leftist training camp in Madison. They are STILL smarting from the Walker wins. They would fear a Walker presidency more than a Trump presidency.

They are constantly, constantly using hack "non-partisan" arms like the GAB (Government Accountability Board, recently partly reformed). Ahead or behind, they are always working full-throttle with their constant influx of willing interns from the university system and fixers from the Milwaukee and Chicago Unions.

Trump MIGHT win Wisconsin, but the left's game plan there is what it always has been.

The partial Voter ID reform is a BIG deal. The bad guys REALLY didn't want to sign an affadavit in lieu of good ID. Anything that might send people to jail (unless they are doing the sending) doesn't sing to them.

Kind says what he’s told to say. He’s my critter. The local media just reprints his utterances. All his money comes from out of state. He’s a water-carrier.

The main value of this release is knowing what his owners want us to think.

News flash to Wisconsin (and everyone else):

The responsibility in elections is at the STATE level - not federal. If you are having or suspect a problem with your elections, check with the Secretary of State. That’s who’s responsible for a safe and fair election.

MY PREDICTION: Dems will declare fraud in which ever blue state they loose.

There is video from past elections documenting busloads from Chicago in Milwaukee and Madison. Video of cigs for votes, too.

The progs have spread out into the rural areas over the past 30 years and in many counties they hold real power advantages, for which they are despised by the rest of us. While ballot stuffing may not happen in the countryside, the progs have extensive networks of affinity groups and within each one is at least one change agent and one minder. Meetings are interrupted to give out the list of approved candidates. Peer pressure is strong and obvious. Even when change agents move away, they are encouraged to keep sending letters to the editor in order to shore up the talking point inculcation. Media is no longer locally owned. Editors and content are far left.

Most of the normal people involved in elections are very elderly. Old hippies have wormed their way in at the township and precinct level. There has been past fraud, but our experienced people caught it. That could change within two years.

Bright spot: this cycle, most progs out here went for Bernie and hate Hillary. But Trump scares the crap out of them. Lots of hand-wringing, lots of angst, some outright sweaty fear. They are programmed to fear opposition and while most are suspicious of FedGov, they’ll take whatever help they can.

It is what they do. Walker fought back and the hatred for him is at the hissing and spitting level, rivaling that for W or Reagan, both of whom are invoked regularly.

We’re mostly nice folks out here, but living with prog infiltration has made many people hate them with a passion. THAT will motivate Trump support.

Exactly! Without an ID voter fraud is a lot easier. With just a few sources in hospitals or elderly care facilities, you can create a list of people who wont make it to the polls and you can then go to their polls and vote for them. In my rural Wisconsin voting center, they have the sheets of voters on a table right in front of you when they ask you who you are. I could just say a common name like Johnson or Smith and when they turn to that page, pick the one that doesn’t have a check by the name. (That is if you can read upside down).

That sounds ILLEGAL!

Certainly unconstitutional, but that doesn't seem to hold much sway these days.

OK so now both sides are saying that the election is rigged?

At least both sides say that if they lose it's rigged.

Expressing fears of rigged elections is absurd, reckless, and dangerous, except when Democrats do it. Got it. /s

But seriously, the MSM articles deriding Trump's "rigged election" talk seem to be bumping into the articles supporting Democratic fears of "voter suppression" and votes not being counted. I even saw one story that combined both fears into the same article

Meanwhile, I found that in Washington State (with all-mail voting) the ballots in liberal King County (Seattle and environs) only require one stamp, but the ballots in several more conservative counties will require two stamps, because they are heavier. I heard that on the news the other day, but I expect a lot of votes not to be counted in those counties because they will only have one stamp.

And it means the democraps are setting up something.
What if the dem strongholds of Milwaukeezoo, Madistan and GB show a “significant” decrease in ballots cast during this election. The DOJ can claim that the voter ID law disenfranchised those poor souls and having poll watchers from both sides intimidated them from voting.

In other words. It’s a trap
