I have an Asian friend with whom I occasionally talk politics.

He brought up the point about requiring an ID to help prevent voter fraud. Now this guy is pretty much a political neophyte, so I told him that conservatives have been trying to require ID to vote but they have getting push-back from both the dems & the courts.

He was flabbergasted - why would they be against this? I told him (tongue-in-cheek), that was because he was thinking like a racist - the dems and their judicial activist judges agree that ID = suppression and those in favor are racists.

The lights are coming on; the more we talk the more he expresses an understanding of how the dems really think, and he understands now “the bigotry of low expectations”...
