Megyn Kelly: The Last Straw
American Thinker ^ | 10-27-16 | Dov Fischer

Posted on 10/27/2016 7:16:01 AM PDT by afraidfortherepublic

The Megyn Kelly eight-minute interview  with Newt Gingrich was riveting.  For me, it also was the last straw.

Let the drive-by media attack Gingrich, but I thought it was his finest hour since he handled John King four years ago at that GOP primary debate, when King of CNN started attacking Newt by quoting Newt's bitterly vindictive ex-wife.

Our household has become quite sick of Kelly, much as I had gotten tired of Greta Van Susteren.  Don't miss Greta a bit.  I know that Fox News is not only "fair," but "balanced," and I comprehend that they ultimately have more influence by maintaining a broader viewership if they avoid being as one-sided as is MSNBC.  Nevertheless, I have been finding Kelly more and more strident and less tolerable.  It may be that, post-Ailes, she is playing out her Fox contract and jockeying for a move to CNN or elsewhere.  Indeed, that would not be all bad – the presence at CNN of people with any amount of conservatism whatsoever is so rare that Kelly would be a good Trojan Horse to unload at CNN.

Unfortunately, her ratings are up. Your complaints will fall on deaf ears.

I think Gretta was pushed out so Brit Hume could emphasize the #nevertrump crowd message beyond what the Dana Perino and Bret Baier shows were putting out. Me-again probably had a hand in Grettas demise.

Putting Great and Megyn in the same basket ends his credibility.

She’s smart enough to know that Bill Clinton is a sexual predator and his sidekick, Hillary, is and abuser of his victims. She is selective on who she attempts to destroy.

I heard Kelly blather on with her fake, manufactured “its all about protecting women” BS, and realized very quickly she has some hidden motivation for spewing this nonsense, empty cliche

She has. Its MONEY. She's asking for a 20 million a year contract from Fox or she will go elsewhere. The perfect definition of a 'media whore'.

She is just on a personal vendetta against Trump. She is obsessed with him.

She has unresolved Daddy issues. Maybe Trump unconsciously reminds her of her father, who died of a heart attack (and "left" her) when she was 15 (not to imply it was his fault).

She has a hole in her heart that she's desperately trying to fill with "things".

She’s extremely nice on FB and does espouse conservative causes generally.

I don’t care if a news channel is “conservative”, I just expect fair and balanced reporting. CNN fails at this most of the time, although their panel is usually better than Fox’s “analysts”.

Any network is going to be comprised of people with a range of personal views. That’s fine. What we are entitled to is fair and balanced presentations without that bias entering in to the picture. In other words, “reporters” not “advocates”.

It’s great sport here to poke at Bill O’Reilly and I do take my shots at times too. But the other night he had Jennifer Rubin from WaPo on who is billed as “a conservative” and he shredded her live on camera. It was a thing of beauty because she was advancing a false story and had nothing to back it up, and came across as an arrogant airhead in the process. THAT is good work and why BOR remains on top of the heap. Not because he is personally a liberal, conservative, or independent - but because he can (most of the time) bring a guest on and hold them accountable to objective standards.

The moral equivalence that Kelly finds between Trump (saying that women will let rich men grope them) and Clinton (actually raping and ejaculating on women) is reprehensible. Add Hillary’s enabling and her promise for another 2 for 1 presidency, who is really attacking women???

I’ve been extremely disappointed in Kelly....She used to be sharp, no nonsense, conservative in her questions and interviews. Kelly File was my favorite hour of Fox prime time

She should be bashing the hell out of HilLIAR. She’s the one avoiding the press, avoiding the tough questions, her lies, corruption .......what a ratings winner that would have been........instead she alienates her audience, what foolishness . . . . What do the Clintons have on you?

Yes, when she proclaimed herself a “protector of women” she ceased to be a “fair and balanced” journalist....nothing wrong with protecting women, but she has shown her true colors and chosen sides, instead of reporting news.......

Short version. She promised, in that debate, to “eat the rich”, twice.
