Large rallies do not equal large votes. I hope like hell Trump wins but that statement is true. Now maybe Trump has extraordinarily large rallies and Hillary very small rallies and maybe that will prove the statement false. I hope like hell it is!

I know it’s fun to mock the fact that no one wants to turn out to hear Hillary Clinton speak, but crowd size is hardly indicative of anything. Just look at Bernie Sanders earlier this year, or Ron Paul in 2008/2012.
Or my favorite: When Mondale-Ferraro drew a six-figure crowd in October 1984, then lost 49 states like two weeks later.

As far as I know, Trump does not employ live bands or give away free food to attract people to his rallies. Also, people who attend his rallies have to get there on their own, they aren’t organized and bussed in.
I’ve heard many say that Clinton has a vastly superior “ground game”, but if she did, wouldn’t you think that they could turn out huge numbers of wildly enthusiastic rally-goers? The fact that she struggles, at this late date in the campaign, to get crowds numbering in the thousands on a regular basis, tells me that her “ground game” isn’t what most people think it is, and that there is little enthusiasm for her personally.

I blew up the picture, carefully counted out 25 people, a square, then pasted that on the crowd until I ran out of people, then added a little more for the people wondering around. There were no more than 400 people there, including drivers, security guards, SS, and press. That is less than one fifth of the reported attendees. 'Course, maybe some of them rotated in and out when they found there was no cake. What a fraud.

I was at Trump’s Tampa rally. I think the crowd in line at the concession stand was the same size as Hillary’s entire rally.

The last 2 weeks of the campaign, Hillary’s rally attendances ought to be increasing, rivalling Trumps. They are obviously not. This is the enthusiasm gap. This will show up on election day. The trends are looking good.
