Rallies are a bigger indicator than polls. Whereas people have to get off their ass to attend a rally. If you’ve ever been to a rally the traffic is bad, the line and waiting are long, it’s not an easy thing to do. people only have to pick up the phone call for a poll.
I posted the NY Slimes and Silver as evidence, not necessarily conclusive truth. I think your making a mistake on relying on crowd size. Ne careful

Your 400 in attendance at the Hildabeast rally looks far more on the mark than the 2,000 they are touting.
There’s an overhead shot proving it’s not 2,000 but yet the MSM bleats out 2,000.
I’ve been to two in my area for Trump. Large commitment of time. Voting is easy compared. There really is no requirement to “get off your ass”. Just mail it in.
Lot more people are gonna do that than attend rallies. Many people go to two, three or more rallies. They can vote only once.

My 86 year old die hard Democrat relative who watches CNN non stop looked at a clip from Trump being grilled for attending his hotel ceremony yesterday and said, those reporters are being so hard on Trump. Would that change his vote...probably not as he is die hard, but for him to see that is significant. Thus treatment seen by Independents may sway their vote. When a Democrat is feeling sorry for Trump that is yuge.

I might agree with you if we were only talking about one or two events (like the lone Mondale rally), but Trump has been doing several rallies a week for seventeen months, where he’s drawn 10 to 30 thousand attendees at every stop.
That is a sustained and stellar performance, showing an undeniable level of strong appeal. It’s a much more objective measure of popularity than random polling.

I listen to Sean Hannity sometimes but he can be grating. He pumps up Trump and says how he will be great then say “but I just don’t know if he can win”.... argh!
That is like having a coach saying how good a team he has and how lousy the other team is then saying”but I just don’t know if you can win guys”.
