A group founded earlier this year to help mobilize black turnout for the Nov. 8 elections has suspended operations, The Post has learned.
Black Votes Matter PAC was created to address concerns about a drop-off in the black vote without President Obama, the first African-American elected to the White House, on the ballot.
Black Votes Matter PAC founder Charlie King said the allies in Hillary Clintons camp made it known that a separate, third-party effort wasnt needed to turn out the African-American vote.
We stopped pushing a couple of weeks ago. They didnt think Black Votes Matters was needed to get out the African-American vote. We had a lot of people geared up, said King, a former director of the New York State Democratic Party who has ties to the Rev. Al Sharpton, Gov. Andrew Cuomo and the black political establishment.
King had been working with groups including the NAACP and Urban League.
King said the black turnout wont equal the historic percentage of African-American voters who flocked to the polls in 2008 and 2012 to back Obama. But he said the black turnout should be robust enough to help Clinton defeat GOP rival Donald Trump.
We think the race is over, he said.

I would imagine all these groups are in disarray right now. Particularly the newer ones with newer faces. They don't know who to trust, who is a double agent, etc.
Also, I'd imagine they have gotten pretty sloppy over the DECADES they've been operating with nearly no fear of any real opposition or fear of the other side. (thanks again, GOP!)
Costs big dollars to “Haul the Vote”. Perhaps the Trump is going to do so well they can’t afford the price to haul enough votes to make the difference.
Early voting in NC black turnout is down 30% from 2012 so far
Our great republic is becoming a tribal republic.
The dindoo nuffins are gonna’ be crying into their malt liquors on election eve.
So what they are saying is that Black votes DON’T matter...
We think the race is over, he said.
Ray Charles could see that.
Victory for Trump!
i am usually in the Bronx two to three times a week. Usually north Bronx down Baychester Avenue. For the most part its obama groupies but tonight, driving down to see two clients I noticed something I have NEVER witnessed...attached to the chimney of row house on a flag pole was an American flag and just below it?
A GADSEN/DON’T TREAD ON ME/TEA PARTY FLAG!!!
does Trump win the Bronx?? unlikely- but it tells me black Americans are starting to wake up!!
Bruthers & Sistuhs just cant bring themselves to vote for Bill’s pastyazz Ho.
she aint no Obama.
they are gimmefreesh1t people not giveawayoursh1t people.
He said you saw what happened in North Carolina but the only motivated voters are Trump Voters
He thinks most blacks stay home
They done spent all da money on wimmen, malt liquor, and cartons of Kools. Sheet, der won be no mo on erection day.
Or they think that Trump is very likely to win, and if he does, he will order a major FBI effort to hunt down vote fraud offenders and put them in prison.
They finally figured out that besides hating Jews (which BLM is okay with), Hillary despises black people. Why waste their time helping someone who thinks they are beneath contempt?
Maybe the rappers scare her.
bye bye
To the bitter end for these clowns.
This is what I expect from trAssh Press:
No, their sugar daddies realized it was a big backfire.
I voted today in NC. The line was out the door at the library. There were 4 white women, including myself and 1 white man, the rest were black. Most of the black voters had premarked sample ballots to “remind” them how to vote. This was my third attempt to vote, long lines out the door every time we went by. I had hoped to avoid waiting in line but today gave in. Anyway I am not seeing any indication that the black vote is down. The lines seem to be longer than in the past, at least where I live, and I have always voted the first time I go unlike this year.
