Government workers shun Trump, give big money to Clinton

Federal government employees are opening their wallets to help Hillary Clinton beat Donald Trump on Nov. 8.

Of the roughly $2 million that federal workers from 14 agencies spent on presidential politics by the end of September, about $1.9 million, or 95 percent, went to the Democratic nominee’s campaign, according to an analysis by The Hill.

ADVERTISEMENT Employees at all the agencies analyzed, without exception, are sending their campaign contributions overwhelmingly to Clinton over her Republican counterpart. Several agencies, such as the State Department, which Clinton once led, saw more than 99 percent of contributions going to Clinton.

Could it be they are afraid they’ll have to get a real job????

Yup, a non-union (fireable) civilian job busy with doing real work every day, performance requirements with regular reviews, lower equivalency pay, no regular pay increases, much lesser healthcare benefits, and only a 401k (maybe).

Like the great majority of American peeons.

These "government" employee/bureaucrats fit the description of Thomas Jefferson who, like other Founders, understood future dangers to the Constitution's strict limitations on political hacks like the Clintons who would endanger liberty for "the People" in order to enrich themselves and become "rulers," while billing themselves as "serving" those whom they enslaves.

We now must recognize that, since their beginning in the late-1800's, the liberal/progressive movement's ambition to supplant the ideas and principles underlying the U. S. Constitution with counterfeit ideas has been progressing at break-neck speed.

Correct, too, is the observance that the multitudinous bureaucracies already in place against "We, the People," must be displaced, for they are the very accomplices described by Jefferson as 'hiring' themselves to rivet the chains upon the necks" of their fellow citizens."

"I am not among those who fear the people. They...are our dependence for continued freedom. And to preserve their independence, we must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt. We must make our election between economy and liberty, or profusion and servitude. If we run into such debts, as that we must be taxed in our meat and in our drink, in our necessaries and our comforts, in our labors and our amusements, for our callings and our creeds...our people...must come to labor sixteen hours in the twenty-four, give the earnings of fifteen of these to the government for their debts and daily expenses; and the sixteenth being insufficient to afford us bread, we must live, as they (the British) now do, on oatmeal and potatoes; have no time to think, no means of calling the mismanagers to account; but be glad to obtain subsistence by hiring ourselves to rivet their chains on the necks of our fellow-sufferers.... This example reads to us the salutary lesson that private fortunes are destroyed by public, as well as by private extravagance. And this is the tendency of all human governments. A departure from the principle in one instance, becomes a precedent for a second; that second for a third; and so on, till the bulk of society is reduced to be mere automatons of misery, to have no sensibilities left but for sinning and suffering. Then begins, indeed, the 'bellum omnium in omnia,' which some philosophers...have mistaken for the natural, instead of the abusive, state of man. And the fore-horse of this frightful team is public debt. Taxation follows that, and in its train wretchedness and oppression." - Thomas Jefferson

“2. Institute a hiring freeze on all federal employees to reduce federal workforce through attrition (exempting military, public safety, and public health)”

Go Trump, win win win. Cull the herd.

How about a Constitutional amendment preventing any person who receives any kind of government check other than SS or veteran’s benefits from being allowed to vote?

This is not my experience with Govvies, although admittedly my experience is with DoD GS folks. I’ve been in the defense contractor bidness for about 25 years (and in the Navy for 25 years before that) and I seldom come across any Govvies that are even remotely Democrat leaning. The exceptions are almost invariably minority women in GS-9 to GS-12 positions as minor program managers.

Government worker is an oxymoron.

The government, especially the Federal government, has become the enemy of the people.

The rank and file of federal employees are made up of mostly bolsheviks. They do not work. They simply accept a paycheck, paid for by the fewer people who actually DO work in the private sector.

I’d love to be a fly on an EPA office wall when the news is out that Trump will revoke Nixon’s exec order creating that nightmare.

EPA was in full-on panic in 1980, thinking the same thing about Ronaldus Megistus.

Somehow they survived anyway. They even managed to media-lynch RR's appointed EPA director right out of office.

I don't want to see a replay of that debacle.

If/when Trump wins, he should demand the resignations of the top three levels of employees of each government agency.
