"a lot of republicans left the part and went INDY - so if INDY is way up then they are the old REPUBLICANS that jumped ship - this is a very good sign!"

Exactly right. I have thought for a long time that the GOPe line that Republicans needed to become more "moderate" (read: liberal) to appeal to independents was utter nonsense since most of the independents are actually disaffected conservatives.

I don’t see that. I see NH, CO, PA, etc., being as among the swing states Trump has a chance to win in.

But I of course hope you’re right—as that means a Trump landslide.

That’s why these polls are so messed up. A lot of people jmped to independent and are voting Trump, so the independents polled is undersampled, combined with the oversampling of democrats (no way she gets the same turnout as Obama or even near it). Could mean Trump blowout.

Bill Mitchell claims on his Twitter page that the +28% Unaffiliated who have turned out so far in North Carolina are actually Republicans who are unhappy with the GOP and became “independent.”

He claims this is the “monster vote” manifesting itself.

If you hear the words on election night, “CBS News Projects Donald Trump as the winner in the State of New York” expect to hear the sounds of shrieks and glass breaking from where-ever Pickles Clinton is holded up.

I hope the Secret Service guys are wearing suits of armor.

It's interesting that the two mainstay GOP states that Romney flipped back in 2012 were NC and IN. Hillary doesn't stand a crackhead's chance in hell in IN, so much so that even Politico wrote Bayh's Senate bid obit yesterday.

Which leads me to two things: if Indiana is just simply at 2012 levels: 54-43, then NC is safely red, and then it's a dogfight - one without the 'racial guilt' vote (which I've never understood and not about to start).

However, if Indiana is all the way rebounded to 2004: 59-39, then NC is brick red, and so is OH. And if OH is brick red, it is all possible from there, starting with NH...

New York has a lot going for Trump, people are fed up in New York, just like they are fed up everywhere else

I know it has a history of election liberals, but Hillary Clinton is no liberal, she is a wall street crony who only wants to feather her own nest. People see through her fakeness. New Yorkers like keeping it real and Donald Trump is a fellow New Yorker. Plus upstate is supporting him in droves.

I am here on the ground and come across the usual number of libbed-out idiots who are shocked to believe that I could vote for Trump.

But I hope you are right.

How many voting booths were operational? I was looking and apparently there are several early voting sites.

So far, the demographics in North Carolina look good for Trump. The electorate that has voted has not had the same African-American turnout as in 2012, and there are not as many younger voters who have shown up.

Depending on how many people vote early, we may be able to roughly project North Carolina even before election day.

look at it this way

instead of Trump defending Texas, he should be attacking her in New York and California, put them into play

its called warfare

better to be on the offensive then defending turf

Texas in play? The media is just trying to get Trump to buy TV ads in Texas, that is all

I am just saying reverse it on them
