You can imagine Donald Trump sitting on his golden throne in the Las Vegas hotel he built with all that cheap Chinese steel, imagine him trying to keep every molecule of reality from entering the room. He’s seething, because his numbers are cratering. And yet, in his mind he cannot be losing. So, everything is rigged.
When he takes the debate stage, he does not smile. The closest thing to it is a sore-loser sneer for failing to get an Emmy out of a reality television show that allowed him to belittle women. He tries to act normal — to hold back the hatred inside him. But this dangerous man is incapable of bottling up his dark self for a full 90 minutes. And in the end, he finally crosses the one political barrier he had yet to fully cross — trashing democracy itself, we the people.

Good ol' Sun Tzu, he knew just how far to bend the bamboo.
The point is that he was speaking about a campaign of battles. Here, now, we are at the final battle for the soul of this country, not just another election or firefight where knowledge of tactics and driving forces can help with future battles. This is the LAST battle in my opinion - if we lose this one, there won’t be any that follow that will be of the peaceful kind.
In that regard, daily - no, hourly reprints of Trump tanking talk from the other side is helping THEM, helping them demoralize our troops. And if all this misplaced ‘helping’ succeeds then the so-called knowledge we might gain from the enemy might just as well be written on our tombstones.

This seems to be one of the Dem talking points of the week, patterned after Hillary’s line in the debate.
After the first debate, it was “He might not have paid taxes for 20 years”, which was based on illegally obtained and leaked tax information from 1995. Again, the attack was patterned after Hillary’s use of it in the debate.
The other, of course, is that Trump doesn’t respect the will of the people and espouses violence associated with the vote.

This article combines both NY Times features. Trump's campaign is far from cratering, and needless to say using the laws of our country to contest election results is not the least bit inappropriate.
Apparently the typical NY Times reader thinks that only Democrats get to question election results - Democrats like Al Gore, Al Franken, and Christine Gregoire. And when liberals and Democrats, including Vice President Joe Biden, and Hillary Clinton, say that Bush was "selected not elected" that of course is not undermining our democracy. Well,actually it probably isn't because we all know that if they are talking they are lying.
And suddenly, after years of silence, and failure to do a thing about it, buying Chinese made steel is a problem. I wonder how many of the NY Times authors, editors, and readers have bought products made in China? Do any of them use Apple phones? Do any of them drive cars, many of which use the same steel?
