Well from the looks of things, Rep Wittenberg (Commie Capo RAT, former insurance agent) is pi$$ing into the wind, cuz both houses of the Michigan Legislature are in GOP control by hefty margins.

27R/11D Senate
61R/45D House

Gee, my uncle’s late 1940’s Remington .22 semi-automatic rifle with a tube magazine that held 17 x .22 Long Rifle shells is now and “assault weapon” in the same category as a full auto M-16, AK-47, or FN/FAL 7.62 rifle.

Not all dems are anti gun, but anytime the dems are in the majority, you will lose gun rights. Elections do have consequences.

I remember fifty years ago when the most hated rifle in America was the 5 shot bolt action army surplus rifle.

A 5 shot bolt action POLICE rifle was A-OK even if it came off the same production line as the army rifle.

He’s just sore because we have gone from a may issue to a shall issue state for CPL and there is legislation submitted to allow for concealed carry without any Conceal license.

He’d have a better chance of buying a Ham Sammich in Dearborn!

They need to be up against a wall, not up for re-election.

from your : http://housedems.com/state-rep-robert-wittenberg-biography “>www. http://housedems.com/state-rep-robert-wittenberg-biography

" Representative Robert Wittenberg is in his first term representing Michigan’s 27th House District, which includes Berkley, Ferndale, Hazel Park, Huntington Woods, Oak Park, Pleasant Ridge and Royal Oak Township...

Before joining the Legislature, Robert worked for more than nine years as a licensed life and health insurance agent, helping to enroll thousands of businesses and individuals on health insurance plans, most recently those that are compliant under Affordable Care Act."

Is he up for reelection ? This is his first term
Tie him into the Affordable Care cost increases (!), as well as 'Gun Control' and get him out of the legislature.
Its kinda late to notify the sportsmen in the area.

Maybe I’m not up on things like I used to be but what kind of pump-action rifle accepts detachable magazines? I’m assuming they had something specific in mind when writing the legislation..

In for a penny, in for a pound.

After the first one, the rest are free.

I have a collection of Remington Model 760 center fire, pump action rifles. They are fed by detachable magazines. All my mags are of the five round capacity but you can go online and buy much larger capacity mags if your heart desires.

They have a different model number now but my collection are the model 760s made in the mid 1970s.

Thank god for our state’s term limits. That being said, this clown is going nowhere fast. Michiganders are too smart for this gun ban nonsense.

Wow thank you, I really didn’t know such a thing existed. Something else for the list one day! (Guess I wasn’t as up on things as I thought...)

Don't hold me to it but I think came out with the Model 14 just before World War I. It was the first pump action centerfire rifle.

I think Michigan is safe for now from this sort of legislation passing. A Republican state house and senate and governor all would be obstacles.

This is grand standing before the election, and amounts to nothing but wishful thinking for the leftists.

They need to be gone. Lets vote them into retirement.

There is only one reason to deny military grade weapons to the public: to be able to do things to them that they would resist if they had the means to fight back.
