Voters on Friday diverged from the legacy media messaging that created a firestorm over GOP presidential candidate Donald Trumps doubts whether he would accept the results of the 2016 election, keeping him ahead in polling, including a substantial lead among independents.
Real Clear Poltiics reported the IBD-TIPP tracking poll had Trump leading 41 percent to 40 percent, Rasmussen reports had Trump up 43-41 and the L.A. Times/USC Tracking had Trump ahead 45-44.
Only if one would assume that third party candidates Gary Johnson and Jill Stein would be removed from the ballot is Clinton ahead of Trump, then by a 43-41 margin, the surveys show.
The analysis of the IBD polling, which is a national poll of 789 likely voters and has a margin of error of 3.6 percentage points, explained that voters seemed unmoved by the mainstream medias outrage over Trumps statement that he would keep Wednesday night debates moderator in suspense about whether he would accept the results.
Wednesdays lively presidential debate featured a comment by Donald Trump to a question from Fox News moderator Chris Wallace, who asked whether Trump would respect the results of the Nov. 8 election if he feels the vote was fraudulent or rigged.
Ill look at it at the time, Trump said. He added, Ill keep you in suspense.
Yet, despite a media and political uproar over Trumps comments the New York Times piece Thursday ran under the headline Donald Trump Vs. American Democracy, while the Huffington Posts shouted Trumps Shocking Answer On Respecting Election Results Is The Only Debate Moment That Matters voters didnt appear to agree. The IBD/TIPP poll showed little if any erosion in Trumps support.

Despite all the foolishness from the MSM, Trump still leads.
YES!!!
These polls are wrong. His support should go up after his election results answer.
Trump is going to win despite all the MSM/GOP establishment/Democrat pushback to crown Hillary the default winner.
Americans aren’t having it.
These continued attacks my the media are failing in their desired goal, they’re just making people angrier.
Why anyone would agree ahead of time to support fraudulent or erroneous election results is a puzzle for me.
I can’t think of a single good reason unless someone had threatened your family dog if you didn’t...and that’s not really a good reason.
Do you find these or create them. They are very good.
I expect one more surprise. Pro-Dem operative Carl Cameron dropped the alcohol bomb on GW Bush 3 days(?) before the 2000 election. It took a scramble, but Bush pulled it off.
That was the election that Gore did “not accept the election results”.
I think he can do this. It all depends now on the American people ignoring the next several atrocities that he will be accused of in the next 2 weeks.
I think we’re smart enough as a people (leftists included) to know that anything accused now is nonsense.
This latest is just so stupid.
It’s like the media shouts out loud “It’s wrong to take care of your elderly mom” and then they expect all others to agree just because they all shouted it at once.
At least shout something sane.
What do you think it will be: taxes, women, wine, song....or something new?
Too many sources available now, the MSM is dead they just don’t know it
Not only do a great many people discount what the media say, but many actually resent being played for a fool by them and don’t want them to have the satisfaction.
If you believe polls
“Despite all the foolishness from the MSM, Trump still leads.”
This is actually a very YUGE development and could be a strategy Trump can really capitalize upon as the campaign continues. Run against the media and the poor reputation the MSM has with the public and he might just get the last minute deciders and remaining independents.
Good Topic! Thanks.
Memo from BillC. “Don’t blow it! Vote Trump!”
LOL!
