Because she’s the nominee of a major political party to be President of the United States. They are invited every four years. Obama was there in ‘08 and ‘12. Just the way it is.
TRUMP made it clear, he was the outsider here AGAIN even though he knew all of them when he was a democrat...now they hate him, the elites and corrupt media now love Hillary cause she’ll keep them all in business...the hypocrisy.

OMG - You grabbed that screen shot at just the right moment!! So funny. The guy looked like he was going to lose his dinner.
She thinks that was a brilliant zinger. Too bad that line will get little coverage because I view it as a positive attribute for Trump. Plays right into his statement that the elites used to love him, and shows to people that haven’t figured out yet that Trump truly is the outsider that people have been clamoring for.
At the end of the beast’s tedious closing remarks, his eyes rolled up to heaven ...*Dear God make her stop*. Priceless.

Don't believe the commentators who are dismayed and claim the humor is always "self-deprecatory." They have conveniently forgotten Obama's nasty-edged performances at these dinners. Not self-deprecatory.
But of course the media lapped it up when it was Obama ripping Republicans. Why, he was wonderful, had a "great sense of comic timing" etc ad nauseum.
:-) Yes, she is a beautiful person....inside and out. She will be a first class, First Lady....a woman our entire country will be proud of.
I wonder if anyone in the Trump campaign gives him advice. That was not the forum to go on a tirade, regardless if it is potentially humorous, against Hillary. He have a chance to be humble, and humanize himself and instead came off contentious and got booed. Be prepared for the morning show onslaught.
You don’t get it. Rhe point of the speech is to get attention. Had Trump been “humble” the media would have CENSORED him and his message. By speaking out here he gets his issues covered.
Yes, I think he had something he wanted to say to her in person. Odd....
