You can't just send email to POTUS. For security reasons, they would implement an explicit white-list of email addresses that would be allowed through to his device.

2. It is beyond the realm of believeability that the President never, in four years, emailed his SecState.
3. During that time, she never once used official gov’t email.
4. To email her, then, he necessarily would have had to address the email to her at one of her various private email addresses on her private server.
