U.S. Urged Ecuador to Act Against WikiLeaks Leader Assange

OCT 19 2016 U.S. Urged Ecuador to Act Against WikiLeaks Leader Assange by KEN DILANIAN, WILLIAM M. ARKIN and ROBERT WINDREM

Quiet pressure from the U.S. government played a role in Ecuador's decision to block WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange from using the internet at Ecuador's London embassy, U.S. officials told NBC News.

"It was a bit of an eviction notice," said a senior intelligence official.

Ecuador's government said Tuesday it had partly restricted internet access for Assange, the founder of anti-secrecy group WikiLeaks, who has lived in the South American country's London embassy for more than four years. A source familiar with the situation says the Ecuadoran government has been frustrated with Assange and his presence at the embassy in London for months and has been considering how best to proceed.

The action came after U.S. officials conveyed their conclusion that Assange is a willing participant in a Russian intelligence operation to undermine the U.S. presidential election, NBC News has learned. U.S. intelligence officials believe Assange knows he is getting the information from Russian intelligence, though they do not believe he is involved in helping plan the hacking, officials told NBC.

Yes, we mustn’t have the truth come out before November 8th.

The Democrat party, a criminal enterprise that reaches the oval office.

That act could be considered to be aiding and abetting a felon in the commission of a felony.

Democrat Party gets in power. Uses that power for the good of the Democrat Party.

Some might consider that an abuse of power.

The BELEIVE he KNOWS the information is coming from Russia but is not in on it.

The truth is our intelligence people only BELIEVE he’s getting it from the Russians. They don’t know anything for sure. If they did they’d say it unequivocally.

So, Assange doesn’t have someone else willing to put it out? If Russia is doing it why don’t they just put it out and say “Someone gave to it us. Maybe it was Snowden.” Or give all the info to Snowden and let him send it out to the world.

This was dumb. Assange is still leaking documents.

Wikileaks can just set up a wifi hotspot outside of the embassy. Not sure if this is what they did.

Another Obama/Hillary foreign policy fiasco.

This action by Ecuador was a clear attempt to influence the US Presidential election.

Assange isn’t dumb enough to not plan for such a possibility. Sounds like things are coming out as planned. Maybe has the whole thing on auto-pilot right noe

Losing his connection is the least of his worries at this point. The Left wants him dead, dead, dead.

Dear Ecuador: That 26 million in aid we gave you in 2012 was a nice chunk of change. It would be a shame if it were to dry up.

I’m sure it’s just a coincidence, but the US Dollar is the official currency of Ecuador since the year 2000 when Bill Clinton was president.
That wouldn’t make them vulnerable to banks would it?

Nobody told them they were about to be the next Venezuela if they didn’t play ball did they? I hope the Trump Justice Dept investigates these crooks the Clintons.

This isn’t a free country we are talking about. In the UK you can’t just open hotspot broadcasting. There are laws regarding access, record keeping of who was logged in on it, how long and when, what sites they hit.
The data has to be retained for law enforcement.

In the UK, you have to pay a tax to own a TV set.

I further wish that the Russians would dump all they have on Obama , to the public sector .

Let er rip .....Our media won’t do it . We live in a culture of state sponsored coverup and official denials of every culpability

This talk about Russia is just plain funny.

If Charles Manson released it, would it be less true?

Hillary got caught with her pants around her ankles and there’s nothing she can do about it.

End of story!

There’s a reason why you don’t use your private server Hillary! You dumb ass.

The deomcrats didn’t like him revealing their astounding levels of ill faith dealings and their virulentlt poisonous corruption.

They’d rather keep all that sort of things secret from the American public - not to mention foreign news services, who can’t be controlled as easily as the domesticated lap dogs of the American media.
