Marco Rubio Rejects Wikileaks
CNN ^ | 10/19/16 | David Wright

Posted on 10/19/2016 6:58:08 AM PDT by ek_hornbeck

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio broke from many in his party when he said Wednesday that Republicans shouldn't discuss the Hillary Clinton campaign emails published by WikiLeaks, a number of which have created bad optics and real headaches for the Democratic ticket.

Rubio told CNN that "as our intelligence agencies have said, these leaks are an effort by a foreign government to interfere with our electoral process, and I will not indulge it."

His remarks were first reported by ABC News. "Further, I want to warn my fellow Republicans who may want to capitalize politically on these leaks: Today it is the Democrats. Tomorrow it could be us," he told ABC. The Florida senator -- engaged in a tough reelection fight against Democratic Rep. Patrick Murphy -- said that he "will not discuss any issue that has become public solely on the basis of WikiLeaks."

Amazing how consistent the republicans are in not attacking Hillary. You don’t hear a word from these bastards unless it is helping Hillary and hurting Trump.

There are many glaring examples of this. In 2012, you got the impression that Mitt Romney would rather have every tooth pulled out of his mouth without lidocaine than say one bad sentence about Obama. Yet he was all fight and bluster when it came to denouncing Trump. As far as I know, he hasn't said one word against Hillary yet.

It was the same way with the Bushes - GWB was silent during the past 7+ years of Obama destroying the country, then goes public to say that he won't be supporting Trump (while daddy admits that he's voting for Hillary).

The GOP establishment and the Democrats are on the same side and have been so for decades. They have their fake intramural contests, but the knives only come out when someone comes up from the grassroots to shake things up.

Who did not see CNN running with Rubio’s comment. The rest of the CLinton media will as well. A chance to deflect and discredit.

DO you really believe a Democrat administration would pressure to,shut down internet access?

I swear the Republican establishment is as big a threat (almost) as the Democrats.

Rubio’s biggest backer is this hedgefund tycoon: In other words the words are tiny Marco’s but the script is by Singer.

It’s all about the “powers behind the throne”. While it was no secret, look what took place in Mississippi. The people of Miss spoke. The Barbour’s and RNC didn’t care and thumbed their noses at all of them. Absolutely no reason for Cochran to be where he is. But, the people allow it and go back to their lives, trying to survive.

“My name and the name of some other GOPe regulars may show up in there...”

If Rubio and Co. didn't have a lot of party sleaze to hide, he wouldn't be concerned about wikileaks. His statements just highlight the fact that Wikileaks isn't the problem, the problem is with the way politicians and parties conduct themselves.

This is how the rest of the GOP would have run against Hillary. Why does he have to announce it?

Pray America wakes

If the liberal networks gave as much air time to Trump as they do the Never Trumpers then this election would be over... CNN tries to drown out Trumps message with these Never Trumpers and then be like “hey, we are airing republicans and democrats equal time”. Then the Never Trumpers go , “look, Trumps off message”. Then the anit-Never Trumpers go “shut up Paul Ryan” and shut up Lindsey Gram”... by the way, I dont think telling the never trumpers to just “shut up” does much.

The media has a blackout against Wikileaks, but it will run with this story. It will get maximum saturation.

And that is the silver lining with this… the LSM may not want to report on what WiKiLeaks has revealed but by reporting what little Marco says, they have to at least reveal that there is ‘something unknown out there that is very big and serious…….sorry but we can’t tell you what it is…..” That simply doesn’t wash and it becomes just a matter of tightening the top down on the pressure cooker and cranking up the heat. I actually view this as a good thing…. It both is quite revealing about Marco as well as getting WiKiLeaks into the common psyche where it will fester away until it can’t be contained anymore.

The NeverTrumpers have put all of their resources into the state of Utah where McMullin has a strong base of support among the Mormons. They’re betting on the hope that if they can throw at least one otherwise reliable red state to Hillary (or away from Trump), then Hillary will be our next President.

Rubio would have pulled this bullshit even if he was the presidential candidate. He would have willingly neutered his campaign against Hillary. All these people who say someone else would have done better against Hillary is high.

“Absolutely no reason for Cochran to be where he is. But, the people allow it and go back to their lives, trying to survive.”

Cochran probably is lucky to get up, take a pee and tie his shoes each day. The GOPe probably tells him what to do . As for “the people” going back to their lives and trying to survive, that’s nonsense. They are too self-absorbed to actually help run our country. And they assume everything in government has a “quick fix,” so they vote for the turd who tells them he or she has the “quick fix” in their pocket.

How about O’Keefe’s recent revelations? Should we stay away from taking about those, too?

how very john McCain of him.

McCain was too stupid to understand “joe the plumber”

Rubio is ASSUMING a Clinton victory and does not want to touch wikileaks because he FEARS the Swamp Queen.

He must know there is something out there that could come out about him or something he’s been involved with. No one with a clean heart would say

“Further, I want to warn my fellow Republicans who may want to capitalize politically on these leaks: Today it is the Democrats. Tomorrow it could be us,”

It should never be us or anyone.
