Is poll-leading Hillary Clinton the Ghost Candidate? (can't draw crowds or sell merchandise)
American Thinker ^ | October 18, 2016 | Joseph Smith

Hillary Clinton is all but measuring the drapes for the Oval Office, but some things in this campaign don't add up:

Trump supporter Wayne Allen Root paints Hillary Clinton as the political equivalent of the "ghost cities" of China that no one lives in:

This reminds me of Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign. She exists, but are there any real people behind her? Are you certain anyone is voting for her?

While Trump rallies are "once-in-a-lifetime experiences ... like Woodstock for working-class conservatives," Hillary is lucky to draw 200 people.

No one buys Hillary's books or campaign gear, either.  Root tells of a friend who found only Hillary gear at the airport gift shop and, on inquiring, was told that the Trump hats and shirts that come in twice a week are sold out "within hours."

Hillary's gear? They can't give it away.

... This doesn't appear odd to you? Hillary is leading in the polls, but no one attends her rallies, no one buys her books and no one buys her merchandise[.] ... She is a candidate whose own supporters don't like her.

... Hillary is the "Ghost Candidate."

V.P. candidate Tim Kaine is equally uninspiring, drawing just fifty people to a rally last Friday in Miami.  Mr. Kaine spoke from the back of a pickup truck with a street-art poster for a back drop, and the estimate of fifty attendees appears to include organizers, a few photographers, and at least two children well under voting age.

Yet Mr. Kaine may be one dizzy spell from the Oval Office.

Just using my shirtsleeve here but I do believe the observations support my conclusions. In terms of real voters, Hillary is going to get only the most rabid Kool Aid addicts to vote for her. Her real support tops out in the mid thirties. This is why no matter how much help the biased media pollsters give her she just can not break 50%. Serious third Party candidacies can hardly break into double digits. Perot did better than Anderson or even Bullmoose Roosevelt. Even Perot just barely broke double digits as I recall.

I think the two extra candidates will probably split the 5% or so that vote “other than Rat, GOP”. Giving them a couple points over the usual 3% due to Bernista enthusiasm.

Even giving 5 to 10% over her 35% only lifts Hillary to 40 to 45%. In either case, Trump breaks 50% and she does not. The question at this point is how do they break at the margins. A 55, 40, 5 split makes Trump impervious to fraud. Even 5 or 10 percent less does not. If Hillary can get into 45% range she could win by fraud. Even in the delusion ally biased BSMedia polls she does not break 45%.

Just the way I see it.

I’m in suburban Columbus and I see a few dozen Clinton/Kaine yard signs, nothing for Trump except a “Hillary for Prison” and an excellent “Remember Benghazi” sign (both were gone the next day)). I can only hope there are many people out there like me, who don’t want my property vandalized or trespassed and therefore don’t put up Trump signs or bumper stickers. Call it fear or cowardice, but the plain truth is I’m getting too old to deal with that kind of stuff. I’ll drag my a$$ to the polls and proudly cast my vote because its all I can do at this point.

I found it amusing that even a week or so ago when last I watched Faux News they posted the first image claiming Hillary up by seven points but then as they broke it down she was up one or two at most or negative in each subcategory. Of course Hilary is 98% with single, urban dwelling, females. The question becomes can she win with just that one demographic. I doubt it.

The media likes to gloat that this election has killed the GOP but it has certainly killed the Rat party. As I understand them their strength is in the coalition of groups. If the Rats are just “single, urban women” that pretty much is the unraveling of the coalition, if you ask me.

Same thing here in the heart of lib la-la land, Silicon Valley. I’ve see precisely three Hitlery bumper stickers, two on Priuses. ZERO yard signs for either candidate. Went to meetings in San Fran for four days last week. Drove the 100 mile round trip three times and took the train once. ZERO signs anywhere, even in San Fran! Very strange, indeed.

the most unpopular President ever to do so on her first day.

Although we can’t foresee the future, the current record holder for most unpopular would have to be Abraham Lincoln. He wasn’t even on the ballot in the southern states and by the time of his inaugural, seven states had seceded from the Union. People tend to forget how deeply unpopular he was.

That is an excellent method to avoid dealing with pesky lines.

It’s rather amazing that at crunch time of the election she is noticeably absent. You twitterers out there need to start a hashtag #WHERE’S HILLARY

It's a well established fact that when Hillary is absent, she picks up votes. When she speaks, she loses them. Rush Limbaugh has been addressing this for months now.

She’s a media creation, as real as Bigfoot and ET.

Polls don’t matter. In the end, it is the Electoral College number that determines the election. There are certain “must win” states.

Her handlers are undoubtedly keeping her hidden.
They are doing everything they can to try to run out the clock.

My theory about this, and I’ve expressed it before on other threads, is that the election could rest in the hands of a growing proportion of the electorate many refer to, crudely but accurately, as the free s*** vote.

That is not a theory; it is a fact.

There is yet another block of voters that are not being polled. These are the Americans who rarely, if ever, vote, and are fed up with the system. I know a 38 y/o male in this category who recently registered and will vote this year, for the first time in his life! He is voting for Trump.

Mrs. Bill’s core backers are too poor to pay for the fuel to attend her rallies. But they are committed for Nov. 8.

So if they are wearing t-shirts, then you wear a t-shirt with your message. They can’t object then.

Maybe Hillary should show up in hot pants and a tank top and do the Hoochie Coochie to draw crowds.
