Serious Question: How is it that a person can support Hillary? (vanity)

Posted on 10/17/2016 12:26:29 PM PDT by Scythian_Reborn

I'm looking for serious answers, I really am. I know it's hard to avoid the one line quips and funny stuff but getting to the heart of this matter could save our nation.

I've been sitting here wondering how on earth a person could support and even worse be enthusiastic and cheer for Hillary at rallies? "It's beyond madness" I say to myself. And then I realize they think the same thing about us. "Trump is a Nazi" they say and so on. Yet, we know we're right, but then at the same time they are sure that they are the ones who are right. Yet we know we are right, yet they think the same thing.

To me it seems the answer to this question lies in knowing the truth. First one has to believe that there is such a thing as truth, second, that it can actually be determined, and thirdly one has to be willing to look into the truth even if that might make them uncomfortable, including totally unwinding their worldview entirely.

Back in 92 I actually voted for Clinton. I later then became a Christian in my early 30's, I mean a real awakening of Truth that could have only been of God. It changed everything, including examining what I thought to be true was in fact, not. And not just politically but in many aspects of my life.

I think back to those days and wonder, was I so sure that what I knew was the truth when I pulled that lever in 92 for Clinton? No, I really wasn't, I was a lightweight and I was smart enough to know I didn't really know. I think a lot of people on the left are like that. However, the media, which we now know is one and the same as the left, gives them comfort, reassures them daily that they are right, and just when a moment of doubt pops into their heads another news story on how evil Trump is fills the void.

I don't know what the answer is or if I am totally off base here. I am strongly reminded of C.S. Lewis and the Screw Tape letters.

Any further thoughts on this?

I think it was John Zmirak who estimated that there are about 1.2 million believing Catholics in the U.S. Sounds about right. Not a single real Catholic is a registered Democrat.

Sorry to be simplistic, but: They are wicked and/or stupid. They read nothing, listen to nothing, talk about nothing.

There are millions of daily communicants who vote for the pro-abortion candidate every time. The Catholic Church and the Democrat party are tribes they were born into. They don’t have a single thought in their heads.

Yep, and there are literally millions of them.
From Zillow: The median home value in San Francisco is $1,104,000. San Francisco home values have gone up 0.6% over the past year and Zillow predicts they will fall -0.4% within the next year. The median list price per square foot in San Francisco is $948.”

My boss is voting Hillary. He says, Trump is a crook, bankrupcies, stockholders lost money, doesn’t pay his contractors, he doesn’t like how he talks about women, and called him a clown today.

I tried telling him and about Clinton, the emails, the FBI investigation, the women and Bill. He just comes back with all those women accusing Trump can’t be wrong. He says, all politicians are crooked, but Trump is a clown and he thinks Trump is in this to help Hillary and we all are being snookered. He then says about the emails, well I haven’t seen any released about Republicans and until I do, I don’t believe what is being said.

So there you have it.

You are so right.

Hillary attracts those who are like herself. Sadly, I have a sister like that.

So sense even responding anymore.

Hillary has exploded millions of families.

It’s really hard to watch someone you grew up with deliberately turn to evil.

Because it’s not “politics.”

It’s evil.

And they want it.

Yes, they seem drawn to her, don’t they.

It destroys families and brings a lot to the surface.

I’m still expecting Trump to prevail.

I think it’s priorities. Hillary voters think they’ll get more loot next year if Hillary is in power. Trump voters are looking at the freedom we will pass down to our kids. We just have different priorities. We care about the future; they care about getting high or just sitting on welfare.

My first was for McGovern. What can I say? No excuse.

Was it Winston Churchill who said "If you're not a liberal at twenty you have no heart; if you're not a conservative by forty you have no brain"?

...the only two Democrats I ever voted for were Zell Miller and Sam Nunn.

They'd both be drummed out of today's Democrat party.
