Apparently, the embassy is under constant surveillance since Jullian has been there (according to a UN human rights outfit that was trying to get Assange’s release). So, the gov’t van may not be anything new.

I don’t believe so. However they are trying to quiet him by cutting internet access.

Could also be hash keys to validate archives of data.

They likely unlock encrypted files held in widely distributed torrent files.

Yup. Thank goodness the internet, by design, is distributed and redundant. The State can't readily shut off information flow.

Distribution of ideas thru the printing press helped bring down the monarchies of Europe. Distribution of ideas thru the internet will bring down today's ruling elites.

More wars have probably been started by the truth. Nice slogan, though. The Civil War was started by unreconciled differences, clearly understood by both sides.

Most wars would never start if both sides could have foreseen the outcome in advance. The Civil War, World War I, and II, for example. Only when one side has an overwhelming advantage in force would a war start. Nato was founded to prevent the Soviets from calculating that they could pick off European states one by one, without U.S. interference.

"While mainstream media is keeping mum on the release of the torrent insurance, the internet is buzzing with theories and speculation. While the organization puts the dump at 88 gigabytes of data, users are reporting it is actually 94.09 gigabytes. This would make it bigger than the 2010 data dump, which leaked more than 250,000 U.S. government documents extending back to the mid-1960s. According to data storage firm Catalyst, an average of 3,124 documents are contained in one gigabyte as of 2014. WikiLeaks’s 94.09 gigabyte data torrent insurance file, then, may have more than 293,000 documents, which would make it the biggest leak in the organization’s history." - inquisitr.com, R. Berkeley, 10/17/16

There’s no rule that says a DMS dumps everything at once. The schedule can be programmed.

Dead man switch does not mean everything at once. It would just pass on command to either someone else or a schedule. Not necessarily a dump.

Yes, he said he did that so he wouldn’t be killed, but who knows, he is releasing info on the worlds most notorious criminal and who knows, her minions may have found the switch.

The nature of a dead man’s switch is that unless the person in question does something affirmative to confirm his state of well-being, something is triggered. In this case, if Assange could not communicate via internet, he would be unable to, for example, enter a code that would deactivate the dead man’s switch. He could be very much alive, and the switch would be activated.
