FBI Director James Comey’s decision to not file charges against Hillary Clinton over her unauthorized and unsecure email server was controversial. It led to a backlash against him by conservatives that was also dotted with disbelief and shock. It led to him appearing before congressional hearings for further questions, given how damning his press conference was on July 5 about the agency’s findings. During that press conference, he said that 110 emails on 52 separate chains contained classified information, that Clinton and her staff were extremely careless in handling sensitive information, and that there were three emails that they recovered, which were classified at the time these communications were sent or received. But Hillary Clinton might not have known these were sensitive since the documents weren’t properly marked. In fact, she didn’t know that “c” stood for classified. Wikileaks’ Julian Assange denies that claim, saying that Clinton is lying.
If anything, as Chuck Todd and others noted, Comey’s July 5 press conference was GOP attack ad gold and offered an indictment of her judgment as president. That point would never be made; the Trump campaign never did any ads immediately after Comey’s presser. Regardless, the FBI is apparently at odds over their boss’ decision not to file charges. Fox News reported from a high-level source that said that the agents involved in the email investigation were “disgusted” by Comey’s refusal to file charges, and that virtually everyone investigating thought that Clinton’s security clearance should be revoked. Guy wondered if any DOJ or FBI officials/agents would resign over their grievances with Comey. That remains to be seen. The latest news from the grapevine is that the FBI is revolting against Comey, and that agents view him as a “dirty cop,” according to a former U.S. attorney (via American Spectator):
“I know that inside the FBI there is a revolt,” Joseph diGenova tells The American Spectator. “There is a revolt against the director. The people inside the bureau believe the director is a dirty cop. They believe that he threw the [Hillary Clinton email] case. They do not know what he was promised in return. But the people inside the bureau who were involved in the case and who knew about the case are talking to former FBI people expressing their disgust at the conduct of the director.”
The loss of faith in the bureau chief stems in part from a dishonest rendering of the decision not to indict Mrs. Clinton as unanimous rather than unilateral and in part from the bureau’s decision to destroy evidence in the case and grant blanket immunity to Clinton underlings for no possible prosecutorial purpose.
“There is a consensus among the employees that the director has lost all credibility and that he cannot lead the bureau,” diGenova explains. “They are comparing him to L. Patrick Gray, the disgraced former FBI director who threw Watergate papers into the Potomac River. The resistance to the director has made the agency incapable of action. It has been described to me as a depression within the agency unlike anything that anyone has ever seen within the bureau. The director’s public explanation for the unorthodox investigation are viewed by people in the bureau as sophomoric and embarrassing.”
The Spectator added that the FBI’s own notes cited Clinton aides destroying old Blackberries (Clinton had 13 devices) with hammers, which isn’t State Department policy. The publication also adds that agents are now a bit on edge that Congress could subpoena them over Comey’s handling of the investigation.
We’ll keep you updated. But, regarding the dirty cop remark, things look like they’re getting worse over there.

I am waiting for the signed letter of no confidence from 75+% of rank and file agents and attorneys. Until then this is all just noise.
I have doubts that Comey is a man of faith but I can see him, after his decision to release Clinton from any guilt, dropping to his weak knees before bedtime and pray for Clinton to win.
And I wish he heard a booming reply to his plea.

You are exactly correct! If they don’t come forward and end the Hillary candidacy, then Comey is just a dirty cop in a festering pit of dirty cops.
Fortunately, we have FReepers around to explain that the handicapped and mentally retarded FBI agents and their families would literally not have anything to eat if they gave up their FBI paychecks for screwing their fellow Americans!
He IS dirty, and so are the agents that covered up Hilliary’s crimes!

Comey will resign the day after Trump is elected.
I quit a very high-paying job once because the higher ups were unethical and negligent.
I took a lower paying job (salary cut of one-half). I still have that job today.
These off-the-record FBI agents who complain are frauds. Their mortages and pensions are more important to them that the oath they took upon joining and more important than public service or duty and honor.

I wish I had access to those in the White House or NSC, but I don’t. And I don’t have the means to have anyone within the defense/intelligence community review the proposal or act on it if it has merit. But I know that you do.
All of this “self flagellation” will cease once the grand bi ch gets elected and the peasants are back in their place.

Eric Holder was in the Clinton adminitration. Back then I heard Tom Fitton [Judicial Watch] rant and rant about Eric Holder.

That the FBI agents and other employees with years of honorable service behind them should throw their careers, families, incomes, health benefits, pensions, their house-and-home, their futures....all on Comey's funeral pyre at this time is insane.
Few FR keyboard kommandos slamming the FBI agents would do it, either.
But they won't admit it!
Remember, one of the tenets of the Alinsky tactics is to lay on "mass guilt"....which is what the Left has been doing right along to destroy the reputations of police enforcement entities and individual police officers across the country by painting them ALL with same evil brush. The Left (helped along by some unknowing conservatives) would LOVE to see this happen to the FBI! We cannot let this happen.
Comey will get what he deserves within a few short weeks, one way or the other.....and right now he couldn't care a fig if his agents and department employees go down into unemployment and financial disaster before election day!
If anyone thinks that plenty of patriotic, dedicated FBI agents and insiders aren't secretly feeding what they know to the proper recipients in law enforcement to some in the conservative media and to trustworthy conservative politicians, get real.
If some (maybe many) of the agents don't know too much more evidentiary-wise than is known already, I know they're praying ALONG WITH US for a Trump victory.....and for Comey, Obama, Hillary and their American Thugocracy to get what they deserve in the end (and UP the end, may I hasten to add)!
