FBI Agents See Director Comey As A ‘Dirty Cop,’ Says Former U.S. Attorney

FBI Director James Comey’s decision to not file charges against Hillary Clinton over her unauthorized and unsecure email server was controversial. It led to a backlash against him by conservatives that was also dotted with disbelief and shock. It led to him appearing before congressional hearings for further questions, given how damning his press conference was on July 5 about the agency’s findings. During that press conference, he said that 110 emails on 52 separate chains contained classified information, that Clinton and her staff were extremely careless in handling sensitive information, and that there were three emails that they recovered, which were classified at the time these communications were sent or received. But Hillary Clinton might not have known these were sensitive since the documents weren’t properly marked. In fact, she didn’t know that “c” stood for classified. Wikileaks’ Julian Assange denies that claim, saying that Clinton is lying.

If anything, as Chuck Todd and others noted, Comey’s July 5 press conference was GOP attack ad gold and offered an indictment of her judgment as president. That point would never be made; the Trump campaign never did any ads immediately after Comey’s presser. Regardless, the FBI is apparently at odds over their boss’ decision not to file charges. Fox News reported from a high-level source that said that the agents involved in the email investigation were “disgusted” by Comey’s refusal to file charges, and that virtually everyone investigating thought that Clinton’s security clearance should be revoked. Guy wondered if any DOJ or FBI officials/agents would resign over their grievances with Comey. That remains to be seen. The latest news from the grapevine is that the FBI is revolting against Comey, and that agents view him as a “dirty cop,” according to a former U.S. attorney (via American Spectator):

“I know that inside the FBI there is a revolt,” Joseph diGenova tells The American Spectator. “There is a revolt against the director. The people inside the bureau believe the director is a dirty cop. They believe that he threw the [Hillary Clinton email] case. They do not know what he was promised in return. But the people inside the bureau who were involved in the case and who knew about the case are talking to former FBI people expressing their disgust at the conduct of the director.”

The loss of faith in the bureau chief stems in part from a dishonest rendering of the decision not to indict Mrs. Clinton as unanimous rather than unilateral and in part from the bureau’s decision to destroy evidence in the case and grant blanket immunity to Clinton underlings for no possible prosecutorial purpose.

“There is a consensus among the employees that the director has lost all credibility and that he cannot lead the bureau,” diGenova explains. “They are comparing him to L. Patrick Gray, the disgraced former FBI director who threw Watergate papers into the Potomac River. The resistance to the director has made the agency incapable of action. It has been described to me as a depression within the agency unlike anything that anyone has ever seen within the bureau. The director’s public explanation for the unorthodox investigation are viewed by people in the bureau as sophomoric and embarrassing.”

The Spectator added that the FBI’s own notes cited Clinton aides destroying old Blackberries (Clinton had 13 devices) with hammers, which isn’t State Department policy. The publication also adds that agents are now a bit on edge that Congress could subpoena them over Comey’s handling of the investigation.

We’ll keep you updated. But, regarding the dirty cop remark, things look like they’re getting worse over there.

What would you have those UNDER him do?

You can’t fire your boss and guess what, even FBI folk need to feed their families and pay the mortgage.

Easy to call for action on a thread.

“Nobody gets to the top in this government unless they’re dirty, dirty, DIRTY!” - uncitizen
Was Comey a guest of Jeffrey Epstein. Hundreds of influential people visited his retreat. Epstein has video recordings of all kinds of activities. This discontent in the FBI will be a perfect opportunity to rid the agency of malcontents and replace them with a more diverse workforce.

I don’t know. But molesting children is not the only form of corruption. What he did with HILLARY shows us all we need to know about him.

Can’t be too upset. If Hillary wins, worse is coming but they still want to keep that job.

If they come out and get fired but Trump wins I imagine they’d get their job back as a whistle-blower (not as payback for getting Trump the election though it will be painted that way).

And, the media can keep anonymity with video interviews - dark lighting, voice modification, etc. Not everyone (not most) in the media will protect them but they could get to the right journalists to keep their anonymity and get on TV.

To fail to report a crime within one’s knowledge is to be guilty of a ‘Misprison of a felony” . . . lot’s of dirty cops in the F.B.I.

I wonder if those in the FBI, who are disgusted, and have some knowledge of wrongdoing by Comey...

could go to an honest lawyer (who can notarize statements) and sign a petition/statement anonymously, like with an “X”, while the attorney/notary swears that he has examined their credentials, and affirms that they are in a position to state the truth.

Would be one way to “whistle blow” without revealing their individual identities.

Or is that impossible because of our right to face our accusers?

It is clear that any citizen with knowledge or information on a Federal crime would be afraid to report it to the FBI. They all most be considered Dirty Cops.

And that is by design. America's FIRST Muslim President is out of control. The Constitution clearly has ways set up to stop abuse of power like Hussein Obama has repeatedly shown. But where are they? Buried beneath fear of Obama's system.

Only WE THE PEOPLE can stop this out of control dictator now. We have mulitiple ways of burying the scumbag named Obama and his band of traitors. Our treasonous government is still petrified the masses will figure out what Hussein is and why he is doing his treasonous attack on our government.

The truth is rather simple but the average near brain dead American still listens to the gubermint propaganda that talks of conspiracy theory and right wing fanatics. But a chink in the government's lies has been seen by everyone, WHY wasn't Hillary indicted? It should be obvious to everyone but it isn't. ONLY Hussein Obama could have engineered this lie.

This is why the 33k that are going to drop ore election makes sense.

FBI insiders realized going to Wikileaks was their only way to see that justice is served.

Comey was never a cop. Always a bought and paid for lawyer.

What was Ashcroft thinking of ever employing him?

I believe the FBI agents take an oath as well as the director? In my book, no one who took an oath to defend the Constitution and the country is off the hook.

There are other more “uncomfortable” options than going along with the corruption, regardless if it’s Hussein or not pulling the strings. It’s a daunting, horrifically hard and personally dangerous road to follow to uphold that oath with the evil that is in control now, something I am aware of and acknowledge. Unfortunately, for the country, there appear to be no Nathan Hale types in the bureaucratic halls of DC/government.

He was appointed on the recommendation of ...Chuck Schumer of all people. I’m not sure Ashcroft had any say in the matter if Bush OKed it. Might have been a stupid mistake or might have been a concession to extract something of value from Schumer.

James Comey is a traitor to the people of the United States.

His name will go down in history next to Benedict Arnold.

He had a choice.

He chose to be a coward.
