Wall Street Journal ^ | October 16, 2016 | Janet Hook

Hillary Clinton is consolidating a substantial lead over Donald Trump less than a month before Election Day, picking up support from women and swing voters as the Republican nominee navigates a roiling sex scandal, a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll finds.

Heading into the final presidential debate in Las Vegas on Wednesday, Mrs. Clinton led Mr. Trump by 11 percentage points among likely voters, 48% to 37%, a big jump from the six-point edge she held in mid-September.

And Trump needs to emphasize this.

After all, women have fathers, most have husbands, and most have sons

Jobs, safety, national security ...all matters much more than a vagina in the WH

I notice Trump has slightly higher marks on being honest and straightforward and American interests in trade deals. I bet far more of these people would be greatly disappointed on those two fronts if they got to see Hillary really in action.

I don’t subscribe to the skew game per say, but when I have LA Times, Rasmussen, PPD, and even ABC to some extent telling me something 180 out of phase, I call bullshit on this NBC poll. Theyve been anti Trump since the primaries. They played these games showing Cruz in the lead.

NBC is publishing a fake poll to push their "roiling sex scandal" narrative. Nothing more.

All of these polls showing The Hag leading decisively over Trump are intended to give the Dems a lead-in for their election fraud claims after Trump wins. They've already made comments about the Russians.

Unless, as election day approaches, the polls tighten significantly. But right now it looks like the evil ones are setting themselves up to challenge a legitimate Trump victory.

Being a good CIC? ........... Yeah, I’m sure they asked our G.I.s. What was the percentage on that one, 2% GI and 98% Cupcakes? Anyone in uniform who trusts Clinton has to be in the minority. They claim that Trump doesn’t stick to the issues? What are the issues? Naughty behavior and naughty words? IT’s the economy stupid! The only issue we should be concerned with can be said in 3 words, “Jobs Jobs Jobs”. Bill will revive the economy? Yeah, theirs.

The liberal media realizes that Hillary is getting destroying in the enthusiasm gap so they are shoving out these left wing push-polls to try and depress Trump turnout (to discourage Trump voters so much they just don't bother voting). I personally think it might have just the opposite effect, Hillary voters who aren't motivated anyway, but who would go to the polls just because they hate Trump, might just stay home assuming the election is “in the bag” so there vote isn't needed.

I would suggest banning posting this poll. It has been consistently pro-Clinton and a gross outlier. It is not credible enough for Free Republic.

NBC/WSJ are the same clowns that told us Ted Cruz was leading Donald Trump by two points nationally back in February, when literally every other pollster said Trump was way ahead.

And when they rig the election, they can point to the polls. See? The polls said so...it’s all a ruse and fraud. A setup.

As crappy and biased as it is, even The Washington Post gives Clinton only a FOUR point lead over Trump this morning. A 46-34 skewed sample for Obama over Romney?? 12 points??? As far as I remember, Obama beat Romney by what, 3 or 3.5 points? Why would a “polling” entity skew the results so badly to reflect an 8 to 9 percent tilt to one candidate? There are consumer protection laws against this - its called calibrating your weight machine to cheat the customer.

Wow. 14% more participants that voted for Obama than those that voted for Romney, and this is representative?

Most women vote on emotion…

I think there is a hidden Trump vote..the Bradley effect..with women??

The Bradley effect posits that the inaccurate polls were skewed by the phenomenon of social desirability bias.[7][8] Specifically, some white voters give inaccurate polling responses for fear that, by stating their true preference, they will open themselves to criticism of racial motivation.

Members of the public may feel under pressure to provide an answer that is deemed to be more publicly acceptable, or ‘politically correct’. The reluctance to give accurate polling answers has sometimes extended to post-election exit polls as well. The race of the pollster conducting the interview may factor into voters’ answers.

In 2012 up until election day I used to believe Romney had this.

Their margins may vary, but every poll shows Hillary comfortably up.

None of the tracking polls seem to be listed at RCP. I wonder why that is.

This is not just an outlier, it’s in the Australia brush. It would be different if other polls were even close.

Also, this is the poll that scared Trump in FL into staying and abandoning OH and it was trash then. Trump called it a “phony poll” but it’s actually Soviet style propaganda, the bandwagon effect.

In this sample 85% voted in 2012. No way that goes higher this year. Of that sample 54% went Obama, 38% went Romney. So one might call this a D+16 sample. Anyone disagree?
