This election is not about Donald Trump. The name on the Republican presidential ballot could have been any of the 16 that ran in the primary races. The name doesn’t matter. What matters is the reason for winning. The reason is to restore the heart of America.
Ask yourself, do you really want Obamcare for the rest of your lives, your children’s lives? Each year it gets engrained more and more into our society making it harder to get rid of. If the Democrats win it stays; if they gain back control of the House and Senate, they may add to it. Even Bill Clinton in Michigan this past week said it was crazy.
Again, the name Trump on the top of the ticket does not matter. I hear you, I understand: his language against women, his alleged assaults. You are right, it’s bad; so is the language in locker rooms or bars or other places men hang out. This is a diversion from our main mission.
Ask yourself; can I really trust Mrs. Clinton? If she wins, we have heard her statements on issues like Benghazi. They asked for increased security and the State Dept. never gave it. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said the attack was due to a video, but we found out later she knew different. She has a long history of lying to the American people. Back in 1996 she claimed when she landed in Bosnia she had to run cause she was under sniper fire.
These are just two of her many, many lies to the American people. Do you really fear Donald Trump more?

This election has always been about one thing that can be expressed several ways:
The Ruling Class aka Uniparty vs. We The People.
Us vs. Them.
A return to Traditional America vs. a continuation of The Obamanation.
A Republic, if we can keep it vs. European-style Socialism.
Au contraire, none of the other 16 would be deporting illegal aliens and building a wall.
The name does matter.

….I believe in hard work, fair play, and fair compensation according to each individual’s merits, which today makes me an anti-socialist.
….I, along with most of the folks I know, acquired a fair education without student loans (it’s called work) and no debt at graduation, which makes me some kind of an odd underachiever.
….I believe in the defense and protection of the homeland for and by all citizens, which now makes me a militant.
Now, a sick old woman is calling me and my friends a basket of deplorables!
Please help me come to terms with the new me because I’m just not sure who I am anymore!
I would like to thank all my friends for sticking with me through these abrupt, new found changes in my life and my thinking! I just can’t imagine or understand what’s happened to me so quickly!

I haven’t been on FreeRepublic in a long time! Just had to come on here and see what was going on! WOW! I remember when this was pretty much the only place a Conservative was allowed to express themselves. NOT anymore and the dems and progressives absolutely HATE that we are expressing ourselves! Screw them! I was a Cruz supporter but as a woman, I wholeheartedly support Donald Trump! Don’t believe the polls. The only poll that counts is on November 8!!! 7 months ago, I might have agreed it didnt matter who’s name was on the ballot...but given the GOPs behavior, it obviously does matter. No one would have taken on the Clinton Cabal, or the establishment in the same way... They all have something to lose, Trump has thrown down a gauntlet. The only reason Trump an imperfect candidate can shine light on their hypocrisy is he has his own history, but it’s a history that is already public.
Trump has touched the People at a visceral level and we sense that he really is our only hope at this stage of the game.

Maybe it's not about Donald Trump now, but it's hard to imagine any of those other 16 names being less than 15 points behind Hillary at this time. And with a few exceptions (Rand Paul, Ben Carson) I think those names - if elected - would have been all trying to "restore the heart of America" in late January, 2017 conference calls with Goldman Sachs.
