WASHINGTON — Early voting numbers in Virginia are dramatically higher compared with the 2012 general election.

Whether it’s the candidates, the coverage or the fact more people know of the commonwealth’s option for some residents to vote early, 22 percent more people across the state have already cast a ballot compared the election four years ago. The data measures the early votes received 25 days before the elections.

These are Northern Virginia cities which are very very blue. In fact if you look at a County blue/red map from the last election you will see that Northern Virginia, Richmond, Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, Roanoke, and Port Smith, and parts of Newport News are all blue. So much so that the state went Democrat because of population density. Which disenfranchised the rest of the state and has disenfranchised the rest of the state for the last four or five elections.

Away from my polling place.

The religious one seems to be pretty popular. Lots of folks will be spending the day in prayer. Others are sick....probably to their stomach.

Honestly guys, I think Trump may be playing possum to depress overall turnout, which will favor him. The last two statewide elections the R barely lost after polling well behind - like 12 points turning into a 2.5 point loss. Hillary has more low propensity voters than Trump, and if they think he’s not contesting the state, more of them may stay home.

I’m outside of Fredericksburg, the southern end of govt employee population.

In 2008 and 2012, there was a clear increase in black voters at my polling place. Assuming they voted for Obama, I wonder if they will turn out for Hillary. I still have not seen a single yard sign for Hillary. Only 1 bumpersticker.

Obama and Bernie stickers were abundant in this area.

Early voting in a major path of voter fraud.

What kind of work are these illegals doing in that area? They can’t possibly be working for the government!

“VA is a voter ID state and legal status is checked when getting a license.”

Do they also check if you have a pulse? /s;)

Sam - agree, you may be on to the reason, blue collar workers fed up. Drive 81 from Winchester to Bristol - nothing but Trump signs at all the exits.

If you had bothered to look you would have learned Trump’s campaign has NOT left Virginia at all. What you “heard” has been debunked multiple times right here at Free Republic.

Vote Trump 2016

Virginia is a lost cause. They elected a corrupt Clinton stooge as governor. He will bring home the bacon by any means necessary for his evil mistress.

The Trump campaign has denied that report.

But VA is likely a state for lots of Dem fraud.

IMO there are a LOT of government employees who are disgusted with CORRUPTION!!! Think FBI, Secret Service, Justice Department... Voting is a totally risk-free way to express disgust, with no adverse career consequences. TRUMP is the alternative!!!

Hillary yard signs out number trump signs by about 20-1 in my neighborhood in fairfax county. However, unlike the last two elections there are almost no hillary bumper stickers.

not sure what that means. I’ve heard the tell on the state is next door in loudoun county

A neighbor who enthusiastically supports Democrats in each election finally put a sticker on his car: “Virginia for Kaine.” haha!

I guess he couldn’t bring himself to display a Hillary sticker.

Looking forward to seeing if he puts signs in his yard, and what kind.

Check the absentee ballot reasons, one of which you have to meet. to qualify for early voting, i.e., you will be out of town. It’s not just open early voting.
