WASHINGTON — Early voting numbers in Virginia are dramatically higher compared with the 2012 general election.

Whether it’s the candidates, the coverage or the fact more people know of the commonwealth’s option for some residents to vote early, 22 percent more people across the state have already cast a ballot compared the election four years ago. The data measures the early votes received 25 days before the elections.

Yes. Lots and lots of don’t tread on me plates in Prince William county - and I’ve seen people of many ethnicities / races with these plates. Hard to really put your finger on the scale. I’m actually optimistic in Virginia based on Prince William. My neighborhood in fx 90 percent Hillary however.

VA is a voter ID state and legal status is checked when getting a license. The additional factor is that early voting is extremely limited. It isn’t a free option, you have to have a reason for open voting.

Why make it easy for the Dems to find out so far in advance how many fake ballots they have to manufacture?

Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!

Vote as soon as you can, then stand across from the voting precincts wearing red on election day, demanding that our American Republic be Restored.

Early absentee voting. You still have to provide an excuse.

Manassas Park has a big illegal population and the natives are not too happy about it. Blue collar whites mostly in Manassas Park and they must be sending a message.

I voted as well. One less thing to worry about. This might just be people have already made up their minds and see no point in waiting in line on the 8th.

I bet there will be a lot of surprised people when they go to vote on the 8th and find out the “already voted” absentee and see their name striked off the voter list.

I will venture a guess that a majority of these absentee ballots are fraudulent.

I’m real curious to see what the lines are like on the 8th. The last two elections they were around the block with a two hour wait.

GOP leader: Fire Virginia's elections chief

Del. Tim Hugo, chairman of the House Republican Caucus, said during a lengthy legislative hearing on election logistics that Gov. Terry McAuliffe should replace Virginia Department of Elections Commissioner Edgardo Cortés "quickly, with competent and nonpartisan leadership."

"I think the root of the problem is integrity," Hugo told Cortés as the commissioner stood at a podium during a joint hearing of the House and Senate election committees. "We're having this hearing, basically, because of you."

I doubt the Governor will take up Hugo’s suggestion. He’s getting out the felony vote. Although, with giving non- citizens and dead people the vote it makes giving felons the vote the equitable thing to do.

What was your excuse? I took a religious exemption. Figured I’d be worshipping a Greek god to be named later or something.
