I stopped going to our former church’s women’s bible study because it became all Beth Moore, all the time. Every church in the area was doing Beth Moore materials exclusively.

For whatever reason I never got into her materials. Most likely it’s that I had 4 kids ages six and under and I hated the pages of fill in the blank homework. That smacks of the mindless worksheets from my school days IMO. I love digging into scripture and learning more about my Lord and Savior, not many snippets pulled out of context.

After enduring a third BM study in a row I asked if we could take a break from BM for the next session. It was as though I asked to take a break from Jesus. Leaders thought it was because I found the material too challenging. I just quit the group study and began reading the Bible on my own.

I was sexually abused as a child too and that’s why I’m voting for Trump. Trump may have a potty mouth but Hillary & her Rapist husband actually abused women - repeatedly. I used to go to Beth Moore studies/conferences but won’t ever again.

That look is what is referred to as a “tell.”

She’s probably not a good poker player, either.

Good for you... I did the same nearly 30 years ago... When I read what was Written for myself, I was stunned just how much so many of the preacher class manipulates the WORD for a dollar.

Sorry, your ‘arguments’ are not germane to the issue.

It was a valiant effort, however.

Enjoy your weekend.

Just like a man to decide what is or is NOT germane!!!!

Hillary Clinton was the cover for her adulterous husband, a man who had dozens of liaisons, who abused his office of Governor and of President to pursue sex, and who sexually assaulted at least two women. More than that she attacked her husbands accusers, calling them floozies and bimbos, and saying who would believe them (because they were low-class women).

Anybody who supports Clinton is either (A) not a Christian or (B) choosing between two flawed candidates based on the degree of their faults and/or baed on other considerations (economics, foreign policy and defense, our Constitutional rights, and so forth).

If we insist on speculating as to what is God’s will in all this, here is what I say: while God is slow to judge and quick to forgive, the Bible also tells us that God will not be mocked.

We have lost one after another war, have a military that is stretched thin and has rapidly aging equipment, and we no real allies in the world. We have a national debt of $20 trillion, an economy propped up by paper money, and a work force that is and will continue to shrink. We are deeply polarized by race and sex; and, politically, one party is committed to progressive socialism and the other party is committed to nothing. The elites think of us as deplorable and irredeemable, privileged and under taxed.

READ YOUR BIBLE more often. To those who diligently seek HIM, His Spirit speaks through HIS WORD, the Bible. BTW, Jesus told His disciples that HE would ask the Father that the Holy Spirit be sent. He also said all power was given to Him following the Resurrection. Read John 13 and 14 to see Whom Jesus IS. He explained it to Philip ...

So she’s a feminazi before she’s a Christian.

Beth Moore is too big into herself for my taste. The
Life International couple (Robertsons?) are BIG into the
“celebrity” (Beth Moore). Not at all surprised she’s a
fan of HITLER-Y; but the Robertsons would do well to clue
her in that SHE IS NOT “ALL THAT” after all. :o( ALSO,
to the fact that not ALL their viewers think so highly of
the Clintons. I channel surf past Moore if she’s on there.
Now, I see I was correct in my assessment.

Don't use that abbreviation. He is Jesus the Christ. His last name is not Christ. He is I AM with us. Show some respect. And BTW your assertion that the New Testament scriptures were not written down until 30 to 60 years after His Resurrection is not accurate, either: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ay_Db4RwZ_M

It's only been recently that Trump was supposed to have become a Christian.

And yet "christian" author and speaker Moore wants to pass judgement on Trump, for what he said as a nonchristian, from 11 years ago.

Maybe instead of judging Trump from 11 years ago, Moore should judge Clinton on what she has said or done more recently.

MOORE is helping the CLINTONS by SPLITTING THE VOTE, like
our TN GOVERNOR, BILL HAS-BEEN. (HASLAM will NEVER, as with
CRUZ, NEVER GET ANOTHER ONE OF TWINKIE’S PRECIOUS VOTES.)

I have never cared for her. This confirms my suspicions, if nothing before ever did.

Yes, another one from the mold of Rick Warren and his gospel of self-esteem, “be the best you, it’s all about you and your life here and now on earth”, and not the Gospel.

Unless I missed it, the article does not say that she is supporting Hillary C.

Whether Trump himself is actually a Christian or not, I have no fear that he’ll persecute Christians and try to destroy our religious freedom. I know that Hillary will continue the left’s war on Christians. That’s enough to know, regarding how the two candidates will affect Christians and religious liberty.

Yep. I’ve spoken too many women who are embarassed by Trump because he is “mean” and says “vulgar” things or he is a “bully” or he is “abusive” towards women. Almost all of these other wise conservative and Christian women work in socially liberal and progressive environments such as schools, welfare agencies, or government offices.

They somehow don’t find it more offensive that Hillary is in fact and deed hostile towards the values they supposedly hold dear.

They don’t realize that while Trump is indeed “all that” he does not wish the destruction of the conservative Christian people of this country and the abolishment of at least three constitutional rights. Hillary despite her public polite rhetoric does.

It’s all about not being embarassed at work or having hurt feelings.

I have taken a couple of her studies at my church and didn’t care for them that much. She built herself a reputation and has, I am sure become a rich woman, through those. I just always felt when seeing her on video that she was way too proud of herself. Now, I know why I felt uncomfortable. I vowed the last time I went to one of her studies to not attend another one. Her twisted thinking on this is just remarkable, considering the consequences of this election. I am a Christian and could never support the fraud going on in this campaign against Donald Trump.

I am familiar with Beth Moore. I have suffered through one of her bible study courses. So, no, I did not need to read the article to maybe find a kernel of truth in a pack of lies.

If Beth Moore had anything to do with the article, I need not read it.

“where does scripture say it is “sufficient unto itself”?

I couldn’t find where it does. The only referenced verse is Matthew 6:34 KJV. (1611). This reference is a real stretch. I don’t think it has ANYTHING to do with that saying and what I think your point is.

“itself” = scripture = the bible?

The bible while VERY important, is certainly NOT “sufficient unto itself”. What good would the bible be, other than a history book, if not for the “living” Godhead?

Like I said I didn’t read the article, but if it is saying

“a priesthood was required, that folks could not access the divine without it.”

NONSENSE! As I heard a broadcaster say recently, BULLSHIRT!

The proof of this is throughout the bible, in many cases spoken by Jesus himself.

Never fighting, just being “emphatic” I always say
