FBI, DOJ roiled by Comey, Lynch decision to let Clinton slide by on emails, says insider

The decision to let Hillary Clinton off the hook for mishandling classified information has roiled the FBI and Department of Justice, with one person closely involved in the year-long probe telling FoxNews.com that career agents and attorneys on the case unanimously believed the Democratic presidential nominee should have been charged.

The source, who spoke to FoxNews.com on the condition of anonymity, said FBI Director James Comey’s dramatic July 5 announcement that he would not recommend to the Attorney General’s office that the former secretary of state be charged left members of the investigative team dismayed and disgusted. More than 100 FBI agents and analysts worked around the clock with six attorneys from the DOJ’s National Security Division, Counter Espionage Section, to investigate the case.

“No trial level attorney agreed, no agent working the case agreed, with the decision not to prosecute -- it was a top-down decision,” said the source, whose identity and role in the case has been verified by FoxNews.com.

A high-ranking FBI official told Fox News that while it might not have been a unanimous decision, “It was unanimous that we all wanted her [Clinton’s] security clearance yanked.”

“It is safe to say the vast majority felt she should be prosecuted,” the senior FBI official told Fox News. “We were floored while listening to the FBI briefing because Comey laid it all out, and then said ‘but we are doing nothing,’ which made no sense to us.”

Andrew Napolitano, former judge and senior judicial analyst for Fox News Channel, said many law enforcement agents involved with the Clinton email investigation have similar beliefs.

Could it be that these agents, lawyers, etc. are waiting for the election to come closer so that their resignation and group statement will have a bigger impact?

Wishful thinking?

Re: resignations

I believe reading that Comey forced the top 25 investigators to sign NDA...so even if they left they might not even be able to announce their resignations?

Is that conceivable?

Graspong at straws here.

There are 14,000 FBI Special Agents. At least 500 should be leaving per year, and that doesn’t even count their other professional staff. I’d guess 80% or more despise Hillary. Trump needs to find several of them to join him on stage at his rallies and at the next debate.

“When there are resignations, I may believe it.”

So very true. It was the same progressives in the ‘60s that pushed for whistle blower laws, now that they are being used against them, poof, gone.

We would know that at least some have some integrity.
As of now they all look like stooges, doing as they’re told, no matter how corrupt.

...........I was at a party in recent weeks and met an FBI agent and his wife. Nice couple, as you would expect.

Incredulously he knew nothing of the millions of dollars Comey made from Lockheed and other companies. He did disagree with the decision not to prosecute the beast though. I will give him that much credit.

I think it’s too much for one Special Prosecutor. They need to appoint a boatload of them. One each for the top ten criminal’s on Hillaries staff at SOS and the same for the FBI and the DOJ. That’s a start but now that I think about it there is no Federal Agency that does not need about TEN Special Prosecutors locking people up and busting heads.

10 each, top 10 agencies, 100 Special prosecutors.

#65 that NDA is invalid and it’s illegal if they were forced to sign it to collide in a cover up or obstruct justice.

Did Joe say why these FBI “investigators” did not go before Congress during their hearings?

Because that would have been the place to come clean with their observations and opinions. They could have countered Director Comey, and let the American people know the truth. It is OUR Congress afterall...it is the American people’s Congress.
