A Houston-area woman says a teenage cashier at a Kroger supermarket in Spring, Texas, stepped away from the cash register and refused to check out her groceries last week because she was offended by the message on the customers T-shirt. It read: Police Lives Matter / All Lives Matter.
The incident occurred just a week after a similar situation in Alexandria, La., when a police officer in uniform said a cashier declined to check out her groceries.
In Texas, the woman, who says her husband is a police officer and gave only her first name Meredith told KTRK Eyewitness News:
"She was stating that the shirt I had on was basically a slap in the face to her and she was doing everything she could not to cry. She made me feel ashamed to have the shirt on, and I dont appreciate that.
The incident has led the Blue Bow foundation, which works to support police officers and their families, to sever ties with the grocery chain.

They did make a statement. It's in the article.
And a very wishy-washy statement it was. We live in a country where a cake maker was ruined over not baking a "gay wedding cake", and Kroger can't fire some minimum wage employees who are damaging their brand? I have been a regular shopper at Kroger for years. It's HEB for me now.
“They did make a statement. It’s in the article.”
Ok, read the statement. Makes sense. I think though that all blacks should go through diversity training.
Kroger is a union shop, I believe. It’s not that easy.
Soros’s fault.
They sure as heck shouldn’t be in customer service... personal preference just isn’t allowed there.
I used to work in a grocery store. It didn’t matter who walked up to my counter, they got served. Period.
The Blue Bow foundation dumped them because it’s a recurring problem.
I don't know how wrong your list, is, but I do know it is wrong.
Folks, please ignore Ern's post.
For the Record, Tom Thumb is owned by Albertsons as a result of its purchase of Safeway. Before Safeway, it was owned by Randall's, and before that Cullum which bought the Toro chain out of bankruptcy and first used the Tom Thumb name. Albertson's like its predecessors, has retained the Tom Thumb store brand on some of its stores, in some cases closing competing Albertson's locations.
I am afraid you are incorrect.
If you go to the Kroger website, the URL I have pasted above, and go to the bottom of the main page there is a toolbar that scrolls left and right if you scroll 3 times to the right he will find Tom Thumb listed as owned by Kroger Incorporated.
I took all of my information directly from their website.
And I was not saying boycott those stores....i shop at qfc and will continue to do so...
Unless I hear Kroger or QFC donating money or supporting BLM.
And you said Jews practice taqqiya earlier this evening, when commenting ignorantly about a religious practice. Your credibility level score is really reducing.
I agree, I no indication this if Kroger’s policy as opposed to Target’s Toilet perps. So far this seems to be a rouge low level employee SJW (not the company spokesman).
Here is the Kroger Response so far:
Kroger has since released a statement regarding both incidents:
Please know that we are disappointed and sorry to hear about the incidents in Alexandria, Louisiana and Spring, Texas. Were especially saddened by how this incident reflects on the 431,000 Kroger associates who work hard to serve every customer in communities all across America
Weve taken steps to ensure this doesnt happen againand we are reminding associates that is our responsibility to honor our company values of Diversity and Inclusion and treating our customers with Integrity and Respect in every interaction, every day. Our goal is always to create a welcoming, hospitable environment for all customers.
I personally don’t have a big issue as Kroger seems to be trying to remain viable to everyone, which is basically what the business should do.
The local Kroger’s where we shop hires a lot of high school students and handicapped people. The manager also contributes to school fundraisers and has always been willing to let our booster clubs set up right outside the front doors, unlike other stores who won’t allow any groups except for Girl Scouts. Plus we have a senior’s discount card and get 10% off Kroger brand items. Even saw a guy in there this summer with open carry. Nobody paid any special attention to him.
But, the one where we shop is one of the older Kroger’s in our area. The new one on the other side of the highway, where we went once, is huge, sterile and indifferent. Never went back.
Yeah, taqqiya is the Islamic religious permission for Muslims to lie about their own teachings.
Whereas Kol Nidrei is the process by which Jews get to discard any solomn oaths they took before God OR the world, thereby negating those oaths without having to acknowledge them as lies, because, well, they say it in Aramaic or something and really feel deeply about it.
Yeah, my credibility is shot.
Not in Texas
No unions and Fl too.
Thank goodness ..
Union grocery staff are awful.
Traders joes is a better option.
No unions .
.
Krogers / Circle K is not a bad outfit.
One bad manager, likely.
Ralph’s is probably the largest grocer out here in L.A. I’m ceasing to buy from them as of today.

Why don't you tell the Blue Bow foundation they're being ridiculous to call for a boycott of Kroger.
Are they being ridiculous?
