CNN overlooked known atrocities by Saddam Hussein just so they could keep their Baghdad office. So tell me they care about their journalist's lives. Journalists are a dime a dozen, and not worth the powder to blow them to hell.
They’re all overseas with the savages, and they don’t feel threatened, they don’t say, “Something is going to happen.” Lara Whats-her-face got groped, fondled, digitally penetrated and perhaps worse, but hey, it happens. Steve Centanni and some other guy were taken hostage; it’s expected. But here in the US, in the midst of disgruntled Republicans is where they solemnly intone, “Something is going to happen.”
Which, of course, begged the question "what's the use of keeping your Baghdad office if you're not going to report news from it."
Funny how no one ever asked Eason Jordan that question, isn't it?
