First Poll on Trump’s Naughty Word Scandal Well, the first polling results are in on the Donald Trump 11-year-old Naughty-Word-Scandal. According to this morning’s USC Daybreak Poll, the overall reaction is --- a resounding yawn.
Trump’s support did drop one tenth of a percentage point, from 46.2 to 46.1%, but Hillary Clinton dropped 4 times as much - .4% - down to 43%. So, Trump leads overall by 3.2%
Bottom line, Trump actually gained an additional third of a percentage point on Clinton.
Now, granted, the scandal broke in the early afternoon, but still bad news travels fast and overall, we suspect that this will be seen as yet another Clinton dirty trick in the end.
Digging down into the data of the poll tends to confirm this. Trump still leads with every age group. Although Trump support dropped in the 18-34 group yesterday, so did Clinton’s, and Trump maintains a quarter of a percentage point lead among Millennials.
Trump gained in the other two age groups. In the 35-64 group, Trump now leads by 3.2%.
In the 65 and over group, the group that votes in the highest percentages, Trump now leads Clinton by 6-and-a-half points.
You can’t argue with the numbers, and remember, this was the most accurate poll in the 2012 Presidential race. And another thing to remember is, every voter falls into one of these 3 categories.
Interestingly, Trump actually gained a full point-and-a-half on Clinton among women and now trails by 11.5 percentage points. What you hear day after day in the MSM is that Clinton leads Trump by 20 points or more among women. However, with men, Trump still crushes Clinton by 15.8 percentage points.

It may not harm him at all - but this article is certainly not credible since there is virtually no data in that poll, if any at all, since these revelations came about.
The polling data will be more affected with how well he does in the debate Sunday night than this so-called revelation of things we’ve got numerous other examples of him saying before this.
At this point in time any event would be a distraction drawing more attention to the negative - events should resume after the debate.

No, Trump does not need to “address his history”. His history is not his religion, and he was not in politics for 69 years of it. That’s an asinine idea.
Be sure to let him know he can ask your advice on how to be improved.
Trump’s history is as pertinent to how people judge (rightly or wrongly) who they will vote for as religion. While he waited for nearly 7 decades to enter politics, he did - and in politics he needs people to vote for him. He needs to address their concerns - whether its religion or anything else that gives potential voters concern.
Hard core democrats will never vote for him, and his true supporters will not be dissuaded. Those in the middle - those that will ultimately decide this election - have concerns about many things, and are currently hearing nonstop about this tape - and when this event subsides, another “offensive” or misogynist event/tape/quote from his past will be “leaked.”
He has to get his sexual past behind him (not just this one tape) - he took a very big step last night with actually apologizing for his actions. He has done a lot for women professionally, and a broader statement acknowledging he not only spoke but behaved badly in the past, and that he has changed (which many will attest based on what they know of him in recent years), he can put this issue behind him with the middle (it will never end with the left).
