I think these Puritans would be kinder to Donald than our modern hypocritical pseudo-Puritans. The former believed fervently in repenting and forgiveness, and a Christ kind enough to furnish the means generously. The latter? They only wanna “gotcha.”
Considering what is at stake in this election, I doubt even Cotton Mather would have been upset! ;)
