Please help me win an argument
Self | 10/07/2016 | Vanity

Will somebody please explain to me how this can be? Trump draws tens of thousands to an event, Clinton draws a couple of hundred. The polls show Clinton ahead of Trump by 5 to 15 points. My wife and I argue about this all the time watching the news. I would think that Trump would be 20 points ahead, she says no. Her reason is people that go to the events do not answer the polls.

Thank you.

There is no telling how this will turn out.

Trump supporters are much more enthusiastic.

But there may be fewer of them.

So, what does that mean state by state in the Electoral College?

It can’t be known.

Operate as if we’re losing, but catching up. That’s the best plan.

I think your only answer is divorce. If you love her, it’s the kindest thing to do. ;)

“The polls show Clinton ahead of Trump by 5 to 15 points. “

No, they don’t.

Because Hillary’s saturating the airwaves. For every person at a Trump rally there are hundreds, if not thousands, watching Hillary’s commercials and positive media coverage. 80 million watched that first debate that Hillary won - Trump couldn’t get that many people to show up for rallies if he held them for the rest of his life.

Democrats are lazy... but will go to vote to protect their free handouts!

Polls are only as good as their sampling techniques and statistical analysis...

Her reason of people not answering polls is why Trump will win big. Her logic is correct just picked wrong winner.

I agree with the other respondent. The Trump supporters are much more enthusiastic. They like him AND they hate her. Most people I know voting for Hillary DO NOT like her, but are either a) fearful of Trump b) disgusted by his comments/antics and don’t think he’s a good representative for the country or c) Die Hard Dems no matter what that wouldn’t go to a rally if it were her or any other Dem.

But seriously, the majority of the polls ARE packed with ‘D’ likely voters.

The Enemy Media does this when their side is losing. It’s supposed to demoralize us and make us give up and stay home and not vote.

If she’s going to vote for Trump, then I rescind my initial divorce advice. :)

Its really simple the poll callers do not call the same amount of both parties. Our side the GOP cares about thre money so we use cell phones liberals convince the govt to pay for there land lines an so they always answer...

It’s always hard to tell from polls. I don’t think their sampling of felons, illegals, persons doing multiple votes and deceased are accurate.

Agree. Rally sizes and lawn signs mean nothing. 2012 proved that point. Most people are quite private about their intentions on November 8.

Don’t argue.

Go get a beer and retreat to your mancave.

Talk to your dog who will agree with you overtime and love you even more.

The only way to change someone’s mind is not through argument but by living a good life and setting a good example.

Life is too short and we should all be praying for each other and focusing on happiness, not misery.

Polls do a random sample across the population. Rallies only bring out the faithful. Polls measure likely voters, not likely rally goers.

Well, It’s one pound for a five minute argument, but only eight pounds for a course of ten.

Easy, Hillary voters are voting for a platform not a leader.
