Notice the pressholes aren’t using the accent on her first name.

I’m strangely okay with the women having to wear hajibs at a tournament in Iran. Why? It’s precedent for NOT allowing them to wear hajibs in competitive events in other countries.

Good for her. How did this tournament wind up in Iran?

Paikidze’s decision will deprive the tournament of one of the game’s brightest stars and biggest draws

Why is the Women's World Chess Championship even being held in a country that promotes death to America?

I flew into Riyadh back in 2008. Jut before landing, the American businessmen I flew seemed overly concerned about tucking every single blonde hair of mine under the hijab I was required to put on before we landed. I joked with them about it but they never even cracked a smile. I asked why and one of them said that they wanted to make sure I would be coming back with them the next day.

It's in the article: Iran is the only country that "submitted a proposal" to host the championship, and none of the 150 member countries objected.

Trump should offer to host an alternative All Women Chess tournament at one of his amazing hotels at the same time...with complimentary accomodations for the participants...

...with no religiosity discrimination.

"Nazi" is a nickname for a Persian girl named Shahnaz.

I knew a girl with exactly that name, and nickname, back in the 1980s in college. She and her family had fled the takeover by the Ayatollah.

As for relating it to Hitler's Nazi Party, there is no relationship. Just as there is no relationship between the Vietnamese nickname "Phuc" and that most common four letter word on the streets of New York.
