The NFL has now hired a female referee.
Will they also hire a transsexual referee?
And you wonder why ratings are down.
To: Stosh
I've said all along that the "Kaepernick boycott" probably only accounts for a small piece of the declining ratings. I believe the declining quality of the product on the field, coupled with the aging demographics of many sports fans, is what's driving this more than anything else.
Having said, that, I'll point out that polluting the NFL with politics makes it easier for a lot of people to walk away from it.
And make no mistake about it, folks -- these people really are walking away, not boycotting. Once they find something better to do on Sunday afternoons, they never come back.

Not to mention the leftist totalitarians of ESPN.

It appears quite a few of them are not playing hard.

I happen to disagree - at least somewhat. If the owners had pressured the so-called commissioner to sanction that loser and suspending him, it would have ended there. But they did not. I realize that a suspension probably violates their collective bargaining agreement, but that just shines the light on another NFL absurdity: a “union” for football players who make more than doctors or more in a year than many people make in a lifetime...?

I wanted to watch football...not a social justice play. Cut the LIB/asshat BS and I might start watching again. Otherwise, there is a lot of other fun things to do in life. It is no real loss. Did I say I despise LIB moonbats and asshats?

I, like many, are getting tired of Black Racism, and the hipocrisy of those who are behind it.
To: SauronOfMordor
The black players dont even need to go on strike. All they need to do is declare they wont play hard if they are not allowed to protest the Anthem. (Something they might already have quietly communicated to the team owners) The sound of team owners quietly whispering to agents that their players will be getting horrible free agent deals...
To: ryderann
If the NFL owners think this is bull$hit......just look at the ratings for Thursday night football this Thursday 6 Oct 2016....If the league can fine a guy for his socks then why not for disrespecting the country he lives in .....???? WTF
To: EliRoom8
CBS is admitting that Kaepernick is causing this? Fascinating!
To: canuck_conservative
I don’t know that the black players would all go on strike.
I watched the Philly-Chicago game. The vast majority of the players were black. Only three idiots protested.
To: canuck_conservative
Black players will just go on strike en masse. Season over. Why? Do you seriously think they can't find non-black players to fill their rosters and play a great game? Seems to me a lot of the issues and bad behavior has been coming from those who you hypothesize might boycott.
Without their million-dollar checks and endorsement deals, these know-it-alls will be no better off than those they pretend to care about.

If they let it seep into college sports, its over. What do you mean "if"?
Read last weeks headlines.
To: HamiltonJay
Cover up wife beating, rapists, do nothing about drugs or othe felony behaviors... But have some ignoramous sit during the national anthem and that gets the fans finally tune out? The NFL deserves to die, for a lot of reasons... But I find it amusing that this is what finally was too much for its fans. It's because this is the NFL's fault. The NFL should not have been blamed for Ray Rice hitting his ho on his own time. However, these blacks are being disruptive at work. Their behavior at work is the NFL's responsibility.
To: billyboy15
As I previously posted, all that needs to be done to stop this is take away the stage these clowns now have. When the Anthem is played the cameras should all be on the flag and not on the field or the players. Trust me, this will all stop within a couple of weeks when it is obvious no one is seeing them except the fans in the park and we know that the YUUUGE majority are NOT with them as is evidenced by the boos.It is too late for that. The time to have done that was when it was just Kaepernick. If they show the crowd and you hear them booing, you will know the BLM contingent is at work. If they eliminate the anthem altogether, you'll know it was because of lack of respect and will still be pissed off. I frankly think the NFL has let it get out of hand and have probably lost fans that will never return.

Count me in. I will not watch any NFL this year.
Lord, let me be strong when Super Bowl comes around and of my team is in it. Amen.
