Kaine Claims His Son Wouldn’t Be Prosecuted If He Handled Classified Information Like Clinton
Washington Free Beacon ^ | October 4, 2016 | Chandler Gill

That’s when Pence jumped in to say that had Kaine’s son, or his own, done the same thing as Clinton, with regard to mishandling classified information, either of them would have been court marshaled.

“If your son or my son handled classified information the way Hillary Clinton did, they would be court-martialed,” he said.

“That is absolutely false and you know that,” Kaine said. “You know that.”

If General Petraeus hadn't turned out to be a total weasel he would be vehemently disagreeing with Mad dog Kaine

Hell, I know a guy that got busted one rank for failing to lock a safe containing confidential material INSIDE a high security area with guards outside and inside the perimeter.

maybe this stoopid guy’s kid wouldn’t get prosecuted but when I worked Top Secret Communications at the Pentagon, had I done such I’d still be in Leavenworth.

I worked 30 years with classified information (S/TS/SCI). I would have lost my job (at a minimum) if I did even a fraction of what Hillary did, with the possibility of prison time and a large fine. It would be a given that I would have lost my security clearances, and I would have been unable to re-obtain them at any future point.

Same here, and you are absolutely correct. Kaine's remarks are a disgrace. Let either of us try the "there was no criminal intent" defense and see what happens. Actually, I don't believe hitlery had to offer such a defense as Comey did it for her...

If he becomes veep, the corrupt FBI would let him commit serial murder of toddlers and look the other way.

The FBI is a national disgrace after Corrupt Comey.

Does that mean that Kane’s son can poop on the floor and Comey will clean it up?

Kaine could be right.

However, normal people who systematically mishandle classified material are prosecuted. There have been several in the news who mishandled less sensitive material than Hillary or their behavior was less systematic and egregious, and they were prosecuted. I knew several who lost their jobs, were prosecuted, or both over far less than Hillary's crimes with sensitive material.

I remember the exchange, and the moderator cut them both off. If Pence would have had just one more word, it should have been Chris Plante’s daily line, “It’s GOOD to be a Democrat!”

I was the G-2 of a Unit, His son would be spending time in Leavenworth as an E-1. This guy Kaine, I watched him last night, he’s by far one of the most disgusting arrogant, obnoxious and rude politicians I have so far witnessed in my lifetime. If I ever came close to pulling an Elvis on my TV it was last night. I did slam the remote down after I shut it off. Does this country want to leave the possible presidency in the hands of this putz? God help Us!

I, too, have worked with classified material off and on since 1983. Training and recertification is ongoing.

She says she didn’t know what the paragraph security markings were. (Did she think the “(C)” meant the material was copyrighted?) If Hillary can’t “remember”, she has no business handling classified material, let alone being the chief executive.

She is a security nightmare.

I’ve repeatedly heard and read references to “removing classified headers,” and thus rendering classified material indistinguishable from unclassified. But as you pointed out, in every classified document there are not only classification headers, but classification letters before every paragraph, so the only way to disguise classified text would be to word-process it without the paragraph markings or headers. And that would be a major security offense.
