Moscow Blames United States For Shelling Of Russian Embassy In Damascus
Kyiv Post ^ | October 4, 2016 | By Meduza

Russia's Foreign Ministry has declared that the shelling of the Russian Embassy in Damascus, Syria was the result of "those who, like the US and some of its allies, continue to provoke bloody conflict in Syria [and] flirt with militants and extremists of various types," read a statement posted on the Foreign Ministry website on October 4.

The building of Russia's diplomatic mission in Syria, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, fell under attack on October 3. The fire came from the suburbs of Jobar, which is controlled by terrorist groups Jabhat Fateh al-Sham (formerly known as al-Nusra) and Failak ar-Rahman.

I don’t think the Russians want to destroy us in order to stop us. The victor of that war would find themselves ruling in hell in short order.

While the US gov is poking the bear, there’s a big world out there. There are a whole lot of places (China, North Korea, Phillipines, African terrorists etc) who just might see this as a window of opportunity to get nasty.

Great. Barry and the boys are trying to provoke a war.

Yawn. Another Russian tantrum. How’s that “Russian Syrian withdrawal” going?

Given that the State Dept. spokesman threatened terrorist attacks against Russia just a couple of days ago, only a complete fool would imagine this was anything other than an official U.S. government action.

Given that Russia has threatened nuclear war in the past, only a fool would think this is anything more than Putinist saber rattling. No need to get your panties in a twist.

I wonder if Admiral Kirby is counting how many Russians get sent home in body bags from this little debacle.

Gotta practice somewhere, before a “real accident” occurs at the Ecuadorian embassy in London.

The Russians do not share your viewpoint and they are the ones with the nukes. Not you.

I’m assuming they mean we bombed them? Shelling implies artillery, and we don’t have any artillery within range of Damascus. We also don’t really care about Damascus. Aleppo is where all the action is.

Russia isn’t stupid and they know they wouldn’t last long in a war against us. They can continue to apply international pressure with this kind of bad publicity in the press, which gives them more leeway to do whatever they want in Syria, including carpet bombing civilian areas with their “barrel bombs.”

The Russians wouldn’t have had the courage to build up a military presence in Syria if Jughead would’ve minded his own business & hadn’t lit the fuse during his Arab spring shenanigans. Under what authorization are we conducting military actions there anyway? I don’t remember anyone voting on that...

Provoke a war with Russia as a gambit to stay in power and further solidify that power.

Bears repeating

There was an article a couple of months ago that indicated the majority of Russian citizens believe the U.S. would potentially launch a first strike on Russia if a conflict between the countries broke out.

Of coarse, this is a stretch by all means, but just as with the nuclear civil defense drills going on now in Russia, the government has conditioned it's citizens to believe that the U.S. would indeed attack with N-weapons. The citizens feel this is a real possibility.

So, now, what's that say about the Russian government? IMHO, it is they who would launch a first strike in the event WWIII broke out in the middle east or Europe.

The part of that that doesn’t work is that it assumes the US government - as directed by people like Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, and Samantha Power - is a neutral factor.

It’s not. The US has empowered individuals of diabolic nature to direct our foreign policy.

Russia’s reaction is rational and reasonable given who they are dealing with, and the significant possibility that they may have to deal with Clinton for another 4+ years as well.

Any rational person in their shoes would be locked and loaded as well.

Russians are whitey Christians. Their government is looking out for the interests of Russia and not globalism.
