NY Attorney General sends cease and desist order to Trump Foundation

The New York Attorney General’s office served the Donald J. Trump Foundation with a cease and desist order on Monday, ordering it to stop soliciting funds because it does not have the proper certification. “While we remain very concerned about the political motives behind AG Schneiderman’s investigation, the Trump Foundation nevertheless intends to cooperate fully with the investigation. Because this is an ongoing legal matter, the Trump Foundation will not comment further at this time,” said Trump campaign spokeswoman Hope Hicks in a statement.
Another filthy trick from the bag of filthy tricks of the Democrats for the purpose of creating a negative against Trump. The more negatives they can throw into the subconscious of the voters against their enemy Donald J. Trump the more doubt, the more fence sitters drop out, and don’t vote, which is seen as just as good as a vote for their candidate.
Depends what the meaning of “is” is.
“Is” the Trump Foundation a public charity?
NO! It “is” not!
So the Trump Foundation does not have to register as indicated in the filed complaint. The filed complaint cites a regulation particular to charities.
As a lawyer, the AG would know this and only doing this for political reasons as the news story will go out, Trump won’t get in trouble, and the uniformed public will think he did something wrong anyway.
If I were trump, I’d file a suit against the AG for such a blatant hit job.

Schneiderman? Is he still running around loose? That won't last, no matter who's President. There's blood in the water in New York State politics, and he's already got a cut or two in the ethics area. Aides have been defecting to the private sector already.
These are the sort of Third World shenanigans we would expect from a Tin Pot Dictator as in Haiti or Argentina, but used to make fun of in the United States. Woody Allen made movies about such things. Comedies. If this really happened; (the FBI agreeing to destroy incriminating evidence against a powerful politician) that is tremendously distressing! The system is already busted-broken, almost impossible to repair without first purging all the vermin.
