Not Bible dictionary, but the Bible text translated into English, which we both know would only be repeated in the other 53 versions of English Bible texts.

How the hell would you know? The nonsense coming from his mouth belie so many verses in the Bible, too many to mention, too many to refute. And yes I have read it, reading it again this year on a daily one year plan. STFU and get lost. File a complaint with Jim if you have a problem. You have hit a nerve I usually ignore, but not this time.

ok fine and dandy then

i may have misunderstood what he meant to say

if he said that homosexually-included people who struggle to resist that behavior... are OK.... I agree

that’s exactly what they should try to do.

no problem then. thanks!

He won’t kick them out because they won’t be there to begin with.

Jesus won’t kick the queers out of Heaven, because He will not let them in in the first place.

The Bible says differently.

1st Corinthians 6:8-10

“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. “

Someone tell the “Pope”

Also please note “straight” fornicators, etc. won’t get in either. There is all kinds of sexual sin. We must forsake it all.

“The Bible is the Holy Spirit-inspired Word of God that does not need any social interpretation. The pope needs to let the Words of Jesus stand as the infallible Word of God.”

He does. Nothing in the Bible says someone afflicted with same-sex attraction - but who perseveres in God’s grace - will burn in Hell merely for having a disordered attraction.

We’re not talking about “practicing homosexuals” here. If you’re unrepentant of serious sins - homosexual or otherwise - YOU WILL BURN IN HELL. We’re talking about someone afflicted with same-sex attraction but who wants to do as God wills. There’s a huge difference between those two things.

Homosexuality/bisexuality is adultery. It cannot be anything BUT adultery, and to the most perverted degree. If Jesus told the prostitute to go and sin no more, how much more would He mean it if a gay man is told to sin no more, also?

Papal infallibility has nothing to do with the Pope’s admittedly bizarre comments, until he starts insisting that people agree with him under pain of heresy, which he — so far — has not done.

Jesus will just shake his head and say “You got confused about the whole “be fruitful and multiply” thing.”

“How the hell would you know?”

Simple: I don’t jump to ridiculous conclusions; I know Catholic doctrine; I’ve read elsewhere what this pope has said on the subject.

“The nonsense coming from his mouth belie so many verses in the Bible, too many to mention, too many to refute.”

No. He is not advocating the practice of homosexuality. He is advocating that a repentant and chaste person afflicted with same-sex attraction can be saved as other sinful human beings can be saved.

“And yes I have read it, reading it again this year on a daily one year plan.”

Which means you’re only 2 or 3 decades behind this pope in reading the scriptures. Twenty years after he’s dead you might catch up to him. He also had to study it in Greek and Hebrew and Aramaic when he was young too.

“STFU and get lost.”

No. I’ll speak my mind and I have not said a single thing that is untrue nor have I violated a single board rule.

“File a complaint with Jim if you have a problem.”

What problem? My gosh, you really seem to be going on a bender here.

“You have hit a nerve I usually ignore, but not this time.”

Then you should work on controlling yourself. If you’re going to express an opinion make sure it isn’t one from the peanut gallery. Put on your big boy pants.

Exactly what I was thinking.

This recent Pope started off good, but of course I knew nothing of him. But, he has caused me to raise an eyebrow on more than one occasion. His politics are a whole different matter.

But, his teachings are Scripturally unfounded. Just because he wants something to be a certain way, does not make it so and does not give him the authority to change scripture. As a person that many look to for biblical guidance, he is misleading his church. I don’t believe God will be too pleased with that. He is leading others to stumble.

Milo is an enigma to me.

Many times I read about him, I can't but think that though he is gay and admits as much, it is something he earnestly struggles with. It is a temptation and he knows he succumbs to it, but he also know it is wrong. I suppose the same could be said of any person who believes in God but contends with temptation and often yields to it. Alcohol, pornography, gambling, drugs... I don't know what the homosexual temptation is like, but I believe it exists. Just as I know alcoholism exists but Lord willing I'll never know that temptation.

Maybe it's not so much perfectly abstaining from the temptation that's important as it is admitting weakness and asking God for the grace to overcome it. In His time, He does. I like to think Milo is such a person. We'll never know on this side of the veil, but I've little doubt that there will be many in Heaven who will surprise us... and be even more surprised at who is NOT there.

Won’t have to kick them out; they just will never get in.

Unless, they are paying bribes to the Pope.

“Remarks by the Pope on a plane, in a homily, or at a press conference have absolutely nothing to do with the Church’s definition of Papal Infallibility.”

Bullcrap.

"This Pope is a real mess. The church made a real mistake."

Thank you for mentioning that.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 warns not to be deceived, that those who practice sexual immorality for example, will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Nevertheless . . .

“He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true” (John 3:33).

God has not changed his standard or His Word . . . the saddest thing of all is that salvation is purely a free gift, but many have hardened their heart to the place where they refuse the cross and choose to manufacture their own road map to heaven.

This is what is meant by the broad road to destruction and the narrow road (Jesus only) to salvation.

A person that is saved through the only provision available is answered to in the verse mentioned earlier . . . “and such WERE some of you, but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.”

In summation:

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (II Corinthians 5:17).

In the subject of our conversation, or yourself for that matter, have either ‘become new?’

And Pope Francis SHOULD HAVE BEEN MORE CLEAR. I really wish he would avoid problems by just being more clear.
