Now, Senator Grassley wants to see if Aguilar had an order to be deported and if he had any other run-ins with police.
The senator has been looking into several incidents this year involving illegal immigrants who’ve killed people.
Grassley raised similar questions after a 21-year-old woman from Council Bluffs died.
She was killed in a drunk driving crash. Police believe the driver was in the country illegally.
