I am not a conspiracy believer, and I am fairly straight forward on things. But this disclosure of pieces of Trump's 1995 tax return is an itch I cannot scratch. I do not understand that of all the returns Trump filed why that specific return was disclosed. It cannot be for the amount of the loss, as I was informed by another poster in here that was revealed in (and therefore part of the public record so to speak) the Art of the Comeback. Is it to show that the amount of the loss could be so high that for 20 years Trump never paid federal income tax? If so, who cares? We had the deadbeat, government leech Bernie Sanders nearly win the democratic nomination. Just dumbfounded. Thanks for listening.
Isn’t this the collapse she brought up in the debate where he said he hoped it would crash or something.though what’s her point that trump wished the crash into existence?
I agree. John Miller released it to troll.
Hey everyone, Electric Graffiti likes butt play...
Again, that would make sense. But if so, doesn’t it seem too easy? And the Times too gullible?
Should have clarified... does the story involve his Individual tax returns, or the related Corp tax returns? And while it well never be a problem for me, can Individuals take losses that carry forward? And wouldn’t that be a form of Income Averaging that has been taken away from the Individual filer?
Not gullible, desperate for a scoop. 95’ taxes are better than no tax documents.
You’re confusing desperation with gullibility.
If there’s one thing we know they are, it’s desperate!!
Perhaps desperation. But the downside if it blows up in their face. At least if they were gullible the media could claim naivete.
Maybe Trump is just THAT good.
the entire tax flap is a troll. Trump is letting the MSM/Clinton camp speculate and imagine the worst only to eventually discover that... he pays through the nose in taxes. Any tax avoidance schemes would have been caught in previous audits.
No idea my friend. What is known is that the loss in 1995 was legally declared apparently.
Thanks. And i agree with you. He’s using them and they don’t even realize it.

I just read on Con.treehouse that the NYTimes lost over a billion dollars when they sold the Boston Globe. If Donald’s ‘95 tax return is a return for his corporation, then don’t the same IRS rules apply to the NY Times corporation regarding net operating losses? More specifically, if Donald and everyone else can use net operating losses to roll over for several years, then can’t the NYTimes?
How much in taxes have the NYTimes paid since their gargantuan loss when they sold the Boston Globe? Inquiring minds want to know...
Someone just played the Times...Exactly
OMG! The irony is strong in this one lol
If Trump has been using this to cover the taxable years that followed, that might explain why Trump has been audited more frequently than others in his income class. After all, if the IRS is concerned about the political leanings of PACs, they might be even more alarmed that Trump had zero tax liability on any tax return. So no real misdealing, just sour grapes from those who think it is an uncorrected loophole that allowed him to get out of paying his fair share. Yet, it had no effect on their cost of living, finances or personal wealth.
“It’s PORTIONS”
That is the key. They are running with it before they know the entire truth.
DJT has set them up
They’re using it to claim that Trump hasn’t paid taxes for the last 18 years, which is a lie. However, distributing someone’s Tax return is a federal felony. The reporter should be arrested tomorrow and then Hillary’s campaign staff where this certainly came from should be tossed in jail.
Is bernie running for president?
If niot why are we comparing his taxes to Trumps?
Isn’t hillary the issue?
I think he was motivated by three simple things:
1. He can play the "victim" here and complain about someone releasing his confidential information. I'm sure the Trump campaign's public statement in response to the NY Times piece was drafted before the Times ran with the story.
2. He now has a legitimate reason NOT to release any of his tax returns. He can point out that the NY Times already has them (whether they do or not) anyway.
3. The only tax returns released here show that he lost a lot of money. That helps him deflect criticism of his wealth, and may actually help him identify with voters who took a bath on the values of their homes after 2008.
Idiot liberals think if they stick a return address that says trump Tower it is a fact it came from Trump Tower.
