If the current track holds, Jamaica catches a small break, while Haiti is on the dirty side of the storm. Gitmo looks to be facing a near-direct hit and the storm should temporarily lose a bit of its punch crossing the eastern tip of Cuba and Sierra Maestra Mountains.

IIRC Camille was a very compact storm. The satellite imagery back then wasn't as good as it is today, but I seem to recall it didn't have the areal extent that this storm has. Matt seems to be a widely dispersed hurricane.

Similarly, Andrew was a small but ferocious storm. I guess winding all that energy up in a small package really causes problems.
