“... as a former President, GHWB deserves respect.”

Not with you on this. Is soon to be former president Obama deserving of respect just because he was president. How about Jimmy Carter?

If true, makes me regret less voting for Perot.

The Bush family. One of the best purchases the Saudis ever made.

We have to stop this “Elite Class” from running our country. Be it Democrat or Republican. The powers to be are certainly afraid of Trump!

Whatever this country’s future may be, we can never go back to the Bush’s and the Nixon’s and so on.

They were not committed to limited government, lower taxes etc. etc.

They made government bigger, they raised taxes, the list goes on....

They used patriotism and our armed forces to maintain world order in limited wars instead of waging total war to defeat the enemies of a sovereign nation.

Never again should we allow Bush’s to hold high office in this country.

I think Jebs ‘rage’ at having private info public is fake. I think the Bushes wanted the public to know, but at the same time, be able to show some degree of credible deniability.

Another ‘Don’t throw me into that briar patch’ situation.
Does anyone under 45 know of the Brer Rabbit and Tar Baby stories? I tend to doubt it. No schools would use them today, especially not Tar Baby!! Wait till BLM & ACLU heard about that one!

...and as a former President, GHWB deserves respect.

Nobody deserves respect just for convincing enough idiots to vote for them as president. To wit: Odumbo.

Took a look at the article. Looks like what a former editor for the WaPo once called “a non-denial denial”.

As usual, Jeb is like Cokie Roberts, using a lot of words and oxygen to say nothing when just keeping his mouth shut would have been just as effective.

He didn’t say it was true. Don’t make stuff up. I just wasted 30 seconds listenig to Jeb! to verify your pro Hillary BS.

Lol, if you don't think Jeb acknowledged that his father said what he was reported to have said, then you need to go watch the video several more times. He definitely said that what was reported happened, but that it was inappropriate that what his frail, 92 year-old father said in a private setting was reported by someone.

Pro-Hillary BS? Get your rear end off your shoulders and try to think more clearly.

When you get right down to it, there are so many absolute disqualifies against Hillary that for anyone to nominate her for POTUS (are you listening, DNC?) amounts to nothing more than a big lie.

Just consider Travelgate and Filegate together . . . Billy Dale was an innocent, and diligent, WH employee. We know that because he was found innocent by a jury, within two hours of starting deliberation, and because journalists who were directly affected by his execution of his duties testified in his behalf. Craig Livingstone was so radioactive after his malfeasance as WH security chief that Bill Clinton refused to admit to, or even identify the person who did, hire him. Billy Dale was prosecuted at Hillary Clinton’s direction. Whoever hired Craig Livingstone was in the WH, and was too important to be “thrown under the bus.” Livingstone’s misbehavior was abusing classified information. Sort of like Hillary Clinton’s private server caper, tho not even as egregious as that. Craig Livingstone was not prosecuted.

So let’s review: if you were inconvenient to Hillary, but absolutely inoffensive legally and (insofar as work was concerned) morally you were screwed over at Hillary’s behest. If you did something illegal and immoral, but something which might - presumptively did - suit the purposes of Hillary Clinton, you would just go on your way without being prosecuted (where is Craig Livingstone now, anyway? How handsomely has his cooperation been rewarded with money from the Clinton Foundation??). And Hillary herself has needed - and received - the same sort of prosecutional indifference which Craig Livingstone received.

It's the OFFICE of President that deserves respect.

“...Who a person votes for is nobody’s business but their own and as a former President, GHWB deserves respect....”

Then GHWB shouldn’t have opened his mouth about it.

And no, he doesn’t “deserve” respect. Respect is earned; it’s not deserved.
